Maulana Yasin and I go back a long way (mid 90s - Darul-Uloom London). I recall being hammered by his penalties and free-kicks one morning after Fajr. Indeed, he is a just man - after pounding me and rattling the crossbar, he gave me the opportunity to take shots with him in goal. He was not keen on taking all the glory himself. But who could score great goals like this genuis?

Fast-Foreward 15 years. With the help of Sheikh Google, I learned that this Attacking Midfielder has become a scholar of the deen (mashallah). Together with contributions from many brothers and sisters, he has created such a brilliant interactive website, which, I, and many of us read and learn from on a daily basis.

May Allah bless us all, forgive our sins and enable us to continue learning from Maulana Yasin and other scholars, as well as from all the brothers and sisters making contributions on muftisays.com.
