Very nice masha'Allah brother Brooklynnyte4ever. I will try this insha'Allah.

~~~
Here is Acacia's feel-good drink for cold and flu symptoms (doesn't cure, but might speed help speed up the process):
(no precise measurements - adjust to suit your taste-buds)
1) Boil water & remove from heat element
2) coarsely chop up a "good amount" of ginger - about 2" x 1"
3) coarsely chop up 4-5 cloves of garlic
4) add the chopped up ginger and garlic to the boiled, hot water
5) optional - add a little bit of peppermint (dried)
6) squeeze 1 whole lemon (fresh is better) & add that to the water
Let the mixture steep for a few hours before you drink it - this will allow all the good juices from the ginger and garlic to come out.
Re-heat (gently, not too hot), add honey to taste (after you've re-heated it).
Refrigerate the rest and drink within 2 days for maximum punch insha'Allah.
If you have low blood pressure (as I do), then you'll want to make sure you're ready to rest since the garlic may lower your blood pressure a bit more.
Peppermint is both a stimulant and a relaxant so it might help counter-act the effects of the garlic on blood circulation. It is a relaxant in that it calms nerves.
I make this whenever anyone in my family is sick with a cold or flu. At the very least, it is a warm and soothing drink alhamdulillah!
(Edit: don't freak out when the garlic turns blue, it is a chemical reaction to the lemon juice and nothing to worry about)
You're welcome, but it's not my work. Although the thread was meant to be based upon ginger and starting off with same first post, I had an idea of what I was trying to relay, Allah simply made it easier for me by pointing me in the right direction.
There are other threads like this, see if you can explore the food section in more detail. This section is fairly new, so don't worry if you don't find what you are looking for. Just start a healthy thread any time.
Ginger has been used in many healing traditions throughout the world. It is known for its ability to balance the digestive system and to help build and strengthen the immune system.
Some companies produce a crystallized version that is more palatable. What is crystallized ginger? It is ginger that has been dried and rolled in sugar, retaining its healing properties while providing you with a delightful way to consume it.
Keep some crystallized ginger on hand if you have a sensitive stomach or are traveling as it helps to reduce the symptoms of nausea without any side effects.
It is especially helpful if you are suffering from motion sickness or from nausea caused by chemotherapy or morning sickness. If you are pregnant, be sure to stick to one gram or less per day.
Many studies prove that ginger is a wonderful anti-inflammatory agent. Like other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as Advil or Motrin, ginger inhibits enzymes that cause inflammation.
Try snacking on it in crystallized form to enjoy relief from pain and swelling related to arthritis and certain types of inflammatory bowel disease.
As a man you won't get pregnant but some men are apparently prone to nausea and morning sickness... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Couvade_syndrome
We will have to keep in mind the advice of Aapa Taalibah if this were to happen and munch on some ginger.
