Just bumped this thread due to some of what I've read recently.


Without mentioning names I would like to ask members to actually post what they know of the topics mentioned in the title (forget the lectures)

It seems some of us don't know the basics of such words and then start accusing others of those heinous acts.

Please don't accuse members of such things. When errors are pointed out, they are not considered gheebah nor slander.

Shamatah is an Arabic word and something many of us lack in understanding or never even heard of

There isn't really an everyday word used for this in the English Language, so the English use the German word for it "Schadenfreude"



The actual English word for Shamatah is Epicaricacy and is never ever used!

One scholar is saying "Shaythan doesn't attack the pious through sins like, zina etc. He attacks them through indulging them in gunaah of gheebath, tajassus, buhtan etc. They won't know they are sinning.
