dont know if a thread has been made about this topic so delete this if there is. i wanted to discuss the level of sexual abuse in our communities and why it is a taboo. we all know it happens ( not saying we personallu or that we know the abusers but remain quiet) but never address in our masaajids. recently a video got uploaded online about a mufti in blackburn who was caught red handed trying to meet a 15yo boy for sex. im not sharing the link just incase nothing comes of it ( police have released him without charge pending further investigations) . this imam is also known to be a stooge who is on the prevent payroll ( possible reason police are looking after him). im not saying the levels are as bad as they are in non muslim especially white people but we do have our issues. be it grooming gangs or dodgy teachers or sometimes even family members. yes i know islam point blank condemns it and perpurtrators are liable for severe punishments but imams shouldnt feel embrassed to openly talk about this durin jumah bayans
Islam: He deserves to have his side of the story heard and there has been no discussion from others in the local community unlike NAK which has been corraborated but blind fans are still refusing to believe it
Law: It is an active investigation so let the Police conclude it
