Assalam u Alykum,

I know there are a lot of threads about internet usage..
Insha Allah on this thread articles, Fatawa, lectures , pictures.. anything related to the use of internet will be posted. Please dont merge this..

Links to other useful threads may be posted.
The matter may be in urdu or in english..
Youtube videos maybe shared but, since I cant open youtube.. so would be really obliged if you could post an audio link or text of that..

Please Please post whether that is deobandi stuff or not.( Deoband stuff will be appreciated the most.)

السلام عليكم

If you use firefox, then you can save yourself and others from unnecessary ads and filthy stuffs easily. There are free addons which are very small in size but works efficiently and integrate with browser easily.

I use an addon named "adblock plus". It blocks ads and keeps display neat and clean. There are also anti porn addons which work great.

Abstaining from internet isn't a fair option to stay away from fitnah in this time. If judge neutrally, it's benefits outweigh harms. We've to make it harmless for us and there are Alhamdulillaah available options to do that.

Just blocking adult sites and ads can save you from more than 50% of fitnah. If you want to visit news sites then block images and read texts only. Maripat sir shared two precious advices- to use internet in the state of wudhu and to recite Istighfaar after using. I remember another advice (read somewhere)- to use internet in front of family members and not it seclusion (if someone can't trust himself/herself). After all these you've to cling with AUTHENTIC sites and blogs to make interenet a medium of gaining benefits only.
