You start a new topic in the same way you have started this one.
Sometimes the tab "New Topic" may not work. Click on Muftisays forum index above next to "You are here".
Select the category you would like to start the thread in and selct New Topic.
There may be certain sections in which you can not post or start a new topic as you need to sign up for that section. So for example, if you want to post in members research, you will need to go to the users groups from the right hand side and then ask for permission to join. The moderator will then receive a notification, he or she will then give you permission.
If anyone wants to start a new topic, they may do so with no problem inshaAllah.
However, before opening a new thread, please make sure you start it in the right category. The categories can be found here www.muftisays.com/forums/index.html the link to this is on every page at the top where it says You are here: Forum Index �
So for example, if you want to post Hadith, then select th eHadith section and if you want to post a joke, select "The Light Side" and so on.
If the post is going to be short and doesn't really need a whole new thread, then please try searching for something similar. For example, if you wish to post something regarding The New Moon, scroll to the top and select search on the right hand side under Forum Menu. If after the search result has provided you with the results, if you see something that is suitable, then please post within the same thread and if it is totally different, then by all means, start a new topic.
InshaAllah, this way things are kept tidy and most likely, the older posts will contain much more information that will benefit others too.
Should you feel that we are being strict, then we are really sorry, but in actual fact, just trying to be friendly.

I was about to start a new thread for this post, but I looked under "Help & Support" and found that this was already available, hence one less thread.
We post rules as a reminder so there is less work for the authorizers to and for all the new members, please don't mind!
You can click "Post New Topic" on any category and still change the category you want to post in on the start new thread page (dropdown list of categories)
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
