السلام عليكم

It has been brought to my/our attention, in public, that I have committed a Major sin on this forum and I am therefore sincerely seeking forgiveness from Allah and all readers. I have been trying to recall where I may have done this, but I have not yet been able to do so. (And if I do come across something, I will update it where possible)

Therefore, I request the readers to point this out to me so I can rectify my mistakes, seek forgiveness or provide references or sources to what may have been posted. Please share the posts or links or PM me directly.

The accusation upon me is as follows:
Quote:
The moderator (Abu) should prioritize resolving this technical issue rather than engaging in Quranic interpretation (tafsir) or drawing legal evidence (istidlal) from Ayahs — something that is beyond his role and constitutes a major sin.

If I am not provided with any evidence of such a sin, then I will assume that I am not guilty of this. At the same time, if this turns out to be incorrect or even a misunderstanding, I will and have forgiven the member of such remarks. If true, then I thank the member for pointing this out to me and sincerely ask Allah to forgive me and to give me the ability to correct my mistakes and to refrain from such things in the future.

As for the technical issues, this is beyond my capacity. I am unable to do anything about that. I do not maintain the site nor am I an admin of the site.

Your case has been escalated to the majlis. Keep checking the website for a response. Please do not open the Web page infront of women and children as it may not be PG.

I have refrained from mentioning the thread or naming the member intentionally as well as delayed the start of this thread for obvious reasons.

I'd rather correct my errors, repent, seek forgiveness, even for a small sin. I cannot just ignore something like that.

Had it been an accusation on something else and not the deen, like a hoax or propaganda or even conspiracy, then yes, I could just ignore it

Imam Abu Hanifah RA, Imam Hanbal RA, Imam Bukhari RA are a few examples we have to follow. They were on haq but there were hostilities against them.

Narrated from Ibn ’Abbās (radhiyallahu ’anhumā), he said: Rasoolullah (ṣallallahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Whoever speaks about the Qur’an without knowledge, let him take his seat in the Fire.” - 2950

Rasoolullah (ṣallallahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Whoever speaks about the Quran according to his own opinion, and he is correct — he has still committed a mistake.”

And it has likewise been narrated from some of the scholars among the Companions of the Prophet and others, that they were very strict regarding this, namely, interpreting the Quran without knowledge.

As for what has been narrated from Mujahid, Qatada, and others among the people of knowledge that they did interpret the Quran, it is not to be assumed of them that they spoke about the Quran or interpreted it without knowledge, or from their own selves. And indeed what has been narrated from them indicates exactly what we have said: that they did not speak from their own selves without knowledge.

Husayn ibn Mahdi al-Basri narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Razzaq informed us, from Ma’mar, from Qatada, who said:

“There is not a single verse in the Quran except that I have heard something transmitted about it.”

Ibn Abi Umar narrated to us, saying: Sufyan ibn Uyayna narrated to us, from al-A’mash, who said, Mujahid said:

“Had I read the qira’a of Ibn Mas’ud, I would not have needed to ask Ibn Abbas about a single thing from the Quran concerning which I did ask him.”

Repeating what's known or addressed by others comes under the same sin?

Not making own interpretations of the Quran or Hadith rather just repeating/ reminding others etc etc.

No forgiveness. I suggest capital punishment for abu mohammed. This cannot be allowed.

What is your opinion on this:

Hazrat Abdullah ibn Masood RA didn't consider maudhatain (Surah falaq and Surah Naas) to be part of Quran. Although other sahabah were unanimous on this.

Islam teaches us to honor others difference of opinion.

Other person is also taking knowledge from Ahle haq Renowned Scholars. You have the right to differ with him. But can't disrespect him.

He may have spotted something we may have all overlooked so it's better to be cautious than to regret later.

Khair, points noted and lessons to be learnt InshaAllah
