Lol Deobandis hate him and he hates Deobandis.

With due respect and out of curiosity, did you not call Zaid Hamid some insulting name on this forum somewhere? Some name which signified his leanings towards Iran?

Btw, I don’t think Zaid leans towards Iran. But that is my understanding and I could be wrong.

Don’t take it in the wrong way. I am not one of the “Hazrat Worshippers” as you like to call them.

My point was: Calling Zaid Hamid a nice guy in this thread, when you have called him something worse( I seem to remember something of that sort but not a 100% sure), the two don’t quite reconcile so I was wondering what your opinion on him was.

Stop bringing straw man arguments and deflecting issues.

Don't try to make it seem like I don't respect Mufti Taqi Saab etc.
Rebuttal what Mufti Saab wrote about social distancing if you feel that it is wrong and if you are so well versed in the Kutub of Fiqh. If not then humble yourself for once cause there are billions of things your small mind doesn't know.
Don't just become dismissive and unstable, address what he wrote.

Social distancing is proven from Hadith. No need to say anything further.

We know people who have died of the virus, we have friends and family who have died from the virus, we have traditions from Hadith that talk about their status, regardless of its origin.

No need for debating it either.

Finally, if I'm assuming correctly, the same mufti has passed a fatwa for muftisays, so the followers of such fatwa shouldn't really be here.

To say social distancing is proven from hadith may be stretching it a bit.

Yes we social distance now in the way we do based on our understanding of how the virus is transmitted.

There is no point in me doing it because you lack the skill set and knowledge to be able to distinguish opinion A from opinion B but refute the following:

Refutation of a SINGLE "MAULANA" from South Africa on Social Distancing due to COVID-19 during Prayers:

  1. Darul-uloom Deoband: www.darulifta-deoband.com/home/ur/Salah-Prayer/179482
  2. Combined and unanimous position of ALL ULAMA of Pakistan: www.darulifta-deoband.com/home/ur/Salah-Prayer/179482
  3. Jamiatul-Ulama South Africa: jamiatsa.org/uucsa-statement-on-the-application-for-speci...

And so on and so forth...

It is the height of stupidity to present the research of ONE ALIM and ask for it to be refuted when every single Institution is unanimously giving the other opinion. This shows that the person has no clue as to how Fiqh works and has never heard of Tafarudaat...

Again with the assumptions.

You like flaunting your Google search skills. You caused an uproar from nothing. I presented no research of anybody. You brought it up yourself and started arguing with your self. Think for once instead of proactively attacking and making assumptions.
So much frustration.

I am glad that you are satisfied that there are entire Islamic Institutions which hold "distancing" during Salah due to COVID-19 permissible and valid.

Darul-uloom Deoband will be pleased and honoured to have your endorsement.

As far as analysis of the "booklet" which you refer to is concerned, you genuinely lack the prerequisite knowledge to be able to distinguish and dissect "research" and I do not mean to disrespect you. I am not a Electrical Engineer and I lack the necessary prerequisite knowledge to be able to compare and contrast research in the field and I am mature enough not to be offended by it.

How can someone who doesn't know the basics of "Fiqh" ask for a certain position to be countered by someone else? How would you know who is right and who is wrong?

Once again, I mean it in the nicest sense but I know what your reaction is going to be...

There seems to be a communication issue.

Mr. Khan no one is attacking you personally. Don't display unnecessary annoyances and hostility towards others.
My statements were subjective in nature. You don't seem to understand how a forum works.
