I was about to reply to this thread www.muftisays.com/forums/14-peoples-say/10646-academic-re... and realised he's locked it so no one but he can post?

This brings one question on my mind. What is your agenda brother? Your posting information that many people don't believe including my non-Muslim friends.

Quote:
In "7-7: What Went Wrong?", Crispin Black shows that fundamental flaws in our current approach to calibrating and understanding the terrorist threat - an unwillingness for instance to take on board the effects of our foreign policy on loyalty at home and a generally slack approach to border security have produced a toxic threat to national security.

I firmly believe that this reason is untrue. It's a way to get the public to accept that this happens on rational basis. I believe these case studies and reports are also a propaganda tool. Quoting the infamous insight of Thomas Pynchon, "If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about answers"

This is what they did on 9/11, 7/7 and probably every additional attack the government will carry out on its own people to justify their murders abroad. 9/11 with did they know about the planes (WHAT PLANES?), were they aware of the threat? (Well they were the threat) and so on.

I apologise dearly but I can't help but doubt assume you have a motive here? Much of what you post are clippings and don't make sense as a discussion thread. It's the same lies being repeated but from a "justified" (attempt) point of view.

Can other members please provide your insight? So many are quick to argue about other Muslims and scholars but when it comes to life and death topics which involve the future of Muslims in the west then you go quiet?

My second issue is that all of Bhai1's information is taken from propaganda sites and companies.

Why would I want to learn about how Muslims think from non-Muslims who are trained to create such hatred towards Muslims?

I have also been very sceptical about BHAI1's post and it seems so are others. Why? because they are kind of forcing us to turn a blind eye into what really happens/happened.

They may just be conspiracies, but the kuffar and Mushrikoon have been conspiring from the beginning, including their conspiracy to kill the Prophet (saw) and get everyone involved so the blame can't be put on one individual/clan. The conspiracy to crush the Prophet (saw) with a rock, the conspiracy to build a mosque which is then mentioned in the Quran. These conspiracies go back a long time no doubt.

Either the Muslims have been blinded by Hollywood type gimmicks or they have been taught to believe something else and they become so deluded that they feel they cannot be wrong. It would be fair to say the same thing about me too, that I'm the one being deluded, but at least I've left all options open.

I'm not going to fall for everything the media puts out there for us, nor am I going to fall for the propaganda put out there by so-called Islamic groups.

I've spent a lot of time researching into many things and one of them are the atrocities that are carried out in the name of Islam. Therefore, I can't accept the fact that the our own people strongly believe that we can't be mislead.

It's a big agenda and we are just part of the game.

I hope by posting, other members won't shy away or feel embarrassed about how they feel.

I know of people who have been put away for LIFE in prison and they are innocent. Okay some have been fanatical, but that doesn't mean they were terrorists.

Load of lies for the the Muslims so they can control how you think and make you become Mozlems!

slander without proof
but the damage is done

this is precisely what happens when words are taken out of context, when things are not read in their entirity.
when we live in total denial thus we dont move forward.
the thread is not even finished yet nor my posting here

but it is now

esp when a mod himself joins in the allegation
thus rendering all my posts doubtful

there is legitimate paranoia then there is total lack of reason

this does not help this forum

but does not affect me personally whatsoever
i actually laughed when i saw this

if one was to read all my posts you would find an individual who has experienced many things and is trying to add something here
taking one post aayah out of context is the exact thing we as an ummah are dealing with

i will not post elsewhere anymore

thank you for attempting to shatter my credibility and character here

jazakallah

i have dealt with this silliness for over 10 years ,it really is making me smile and not angry

Brother, I haven't made any accusations whatsoever on you. Khair, I publicly apologies to you for feeling that way.

However, my understanding of how things are manipulated are clear, the proof is within itself.

No one is making anyone look stupid at all, this is an accusation upon me which I am ignoring and will not question you for it.

Please keep the discussion off PMs as it is better to keep it in the open. Neither of us have anything to hide. we just hold different views.

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

It's time to put the principles of Tabligh and Tasawwuf into practice.

Men who's reputation was higher than ours, who's morals were greater than ours, who's example is followed more than ours said something to this effect to their people when accused:

"O my people, I am not like that..."

The burden of proof is upon the one who makes the claim. Yet, the reponse of the prophets Alaihimus salam was different than yours...

It's not slander I promise.

I don't believe so many things you post. And instead of answering and helping others to understand your agenda (which I presume is to help right?) you seem to get defensive and a bit whiny (sorry for the slightly derogatory term).

So how about answering or helping to clear our doubts instead? That would be the mature thing to do no?

lol, the irony

bhai1 posts loads of links and videos of controversial context. abu m is the first to caution him and afraid to open any of his links and then super glue is the first to defend him and the post(s). but the more the merrier hey, then things start to become more apparent. painting innocent people, muslim and non muslim with an image that could be true or false.

by the way, I publicly apologise just in case this post some how gets labelled as slanderous. hey, I gotta cover my back man :p

Well BHA1'S... something old, something borrowed something blue, read below.
Tests...!

BismillahirRahmanirRaheem

"Years ago as I was walking with my Grandsheikh in Damascus, a football that some boys were playing with hit me on the head and knocked off my turban. I got very angry and turned around, shouting; “ Oh you miserable, misbehaved brat!” Grandsheihk said; “Oh Nazim Effendi, you have just lost your faith. How can you claim to believe that everything comes from Allah Almighty when you are ready to blame someone for something that hits you on the head?Do you not know that Allah is the Original Cause of that event? So why are you blinded by secondary causes? When that ball hit you why did you look to see which one threw it in order to quarrel with him? Do you not know that it is from Allah?”

Then I recited the confession of faith to renew my faith.

The level of faith that our Grandsheikh was referring to is the level of prophets and saints. We are trying to attain to that level, and when men reach that level, peace will reign on earth. The reason for all trouble on earth, for all wars and suffering is that people have lost sight of their Lord’s Will behind all events. They have lost sight of the hand of the One Who is testing them through those events. They have stopped seeing events as tests from their Lord. Therefore they continue failing those tests. "

Shaykh Nazim Effendi.
Some Brotherly advice and from a constructive point of view, I think your discussing too many areas, find an area that you are good in and focus on it...As I said before its going to lead to frustration and burn out.

I appreciate were you are coming from and the experiences you may have been through but...! This area is not your strongest suit Brother , I think your posts on Social work, ( i.e. service to others and inspiring the youth are probably were your strength lies.)

There is a fundamental rule in communication classes that if people are not receptive to what you are saying that means that you are not communicating effectively.

Some of your posts come across as Cryptic and confusing, hence the negative reaction, the reason for that is your trying to write in a Journalistic style looking at the issue from several different angles and viewpoints and using sophisticated terminology, this style of writing is not natural to you... In my humble opinion the only person on this forum who is capable of writing and articulating in that manner, is Bro Maripat.

Better to write in a style that comes more naturally. I am not trying to diminish your efforts in any way, even amongst the Ulemah you have some who can communicate brilliantly with the pen, but when you put them in front of a microphone, they are not as effective. Others who are brilliant in front of the microphone but not so effective with the written word.

I think your style of writing is top notch as the points you made are bang on. I'm smiling here because you've put all my points in such perfect way.

So there was no accusation or slander. I am extremely (if I can use that word) confused about what he's trying to convey on the forum.

Brother BHAIS1 intentions are sincere, this is an Old School style of Journalism, you collect and collate all the information available on a topic, then you present your own conclusion at the very end.

This is a style of Journalism that was an art form back in the 1940's and 50's , there are not many of those style of writers left. The Journalists of that era were trained before television became common place it was a very competitive field to get a position at a newspaper your skills as a writer needed to be at a very high level. They would write in such a manner making the reader feel they were actually present and witnessing the situation being discussed from a number of different angles it is a very captivating style of writing. But it is very hard to pull off...!

No disrespect whatsoever to anyone, but I do remember reading a post where the brother clearly wrote that he needed help and that he was a 40 something year old (uncle I think)
I don't think its a writing skill coz he said he wasn't good at it. I don't think there is a conclusion coz his posts wouldn't be pro so and so. Sorry, just my 2 riyals ;)
