Following Desires to Shirk

posted by abu mohammed on 11th October 2010 - 1 comment
I often tell certain brothers to stop following what they like, as they seem to be picking and choosing from different schools, usually to suit their own preference, to please others who believe they are on the right path, or because they are told that they should find the strongest opinion and follow that. Please take a look ate the other blogs to see who has the strogest opinion. Also see Seifeddines Blog on following 1 imam and sticking to it. Many times I have told them that following your own desires would lead to shirk and at the time the only evidence I was able to provide them with was the Ayah from the Quran regarding Athiests. Allah tells us that people say that the Athiest has no God, But infact Allah tells us that their God is their desires. Therefore idicating to us that the Lord of the Athiest is their desires "Hawa", Evil and corrupted Desires. Alhumdulillah I have come across another 10 verses from the Quran to back me up. How Following Your Desires will lead you to Shirk. "DO YOU SEE THE MAN WHO MAKES HIS DESIRE HIS GOD" To make a God other than Allah is Shirk. Need I say more.

Taraweeh

posted by abu mohammed on 23rd August 2010 - 15 comments
Taraweeh 20 not 8! (If you find this blog too long, scroll down to the images, You'll see what happened, who did it and you can guess why he did it) I wish to reproduce much of the evidence here in a very basic, easy to follow manner inshaAllah. The reason I'm redoing this is because I am seeing local Masaajids emptying out after 8 Rakaat's. In a mosque local to me, the Masjid is not even half full and all the other floors, I've been told are more or less empty too. Where have they all gone? Have they resorted to the 8 rakaat racket? Taraweeh IS NOT 8 rakaat's as claimed by many and the evidence is from their own scholars! Taraweeh IS 20 rakaat's and will be proven with evidence from their own scholars too! Everyone tends to refer the same narration as did Dr. Zakir Naik in his Q&A session, in which he incorrectly mandates 8 Rakaat's based on a Sahih Hadith in the wrong context! Oh the Irony!

Dajjal

posted by abu mohammed on 23rd July 2010 - 1 comment
The story of Tamim Dari and the Dajjal The story of Tamim Dari which follows, answers the first and most important question, is the Dajjal alive? and whether Tamim Dari and his companions have seen him when they were thrown by the waves on to some remote Island. Fatimah-bint-Qais reported, "I heard the proclaimer of the Messenger of Allah (SAW) proclaiming (for) 'Congregational Prayer'. I went to the mosque and prayed with the Prophet (SAW). When he finished his prayer, he sat upon the pulpit smiling and said, 'Let every man remain in his seat.' He then asked, 'Do you know why I have called you together?' They replied, 'Allah and his Messenger know best.' The Prophet (SAW) said, 'By Allah, I have not called you together for hope or for fear, I have called you together because Tamim ad- Dari who was a Christian, came and embraced Islam. He narrated a story to me, which agreed with the account I had given to you about the Dajjal. He informed me that he had embarked upon a sea-boat with thirty men of Lakhm and Jozam. Then the sea waves played with them for a month and threw them on to an island when the sun was about to set. They sat in a small side boat and landed on the Island. A beast with very coarse hair met them. They could not tell its front from its back due to its excessive hair. They asked, 'Woe to thee! Who art thou?" It replied, 'I am a spy. Go to this man in the monastery, as he is eager to receive the information you bring. ' Tamim Dari said, 'When it named a man for us, we fled away from it lest it might be the devil. Then we hurriedly went on until we entered the monastery and found a big-bodied man whom we had never seen before. He was firmly tied up, his hands tied to his neck, the place between his knees, and joints tied up with iron chains.' We asked, 'Woe to thee! What are thou?' He replied, 'You have the power to get my information. Inform me about yourselves.

40 Hadith on Music

posted by abu mohammed on 25th June 2010 - 44 comments
(1) Hadhrat Abu Maalik Ash'ari (radhiyallahu anhu) says that he heard Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) say: "Most certainly, there will be in my Ummah people who will make lawful fornication, silk, liquor and musical instruments." (Bukhaari) (2) In another version of this narration, Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Most certainly, people from my Ummah will consume liquor which they will describe with some other name. Over their heads will be playing musical instruments and singing girls. Allah will cause the earth to swallow them, and from among them He will transform into apes and pigs." (Ibn Maajah) The punishment for music and singing is exceptionally severe. Some juhhaal (ignoramuses) have attempted to escape the condemnation of music and singing stated in this Hadith by presenting a very stupid argument. This Hadith is an unambiguous assertion of the hurmat (being haraam/prohibition) of musical instruments. In this Hadith, Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) uses the word (Yasta-hil-loona, i.e. they will make lawful). He mentioned four acts which people in the later ages would make lawful, viz. fornication, liquor, silk and music. This presupposes that these acts are haraam. It is meaningless to say that a lawful act will be made lawful. This absurdity is the consequence of the stupid and false contention of the proponents of music and singing. A haraam act is made lawful, and this is precisely what Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said. The time will dawn when Muslims will make halaal these four haraam acts. (3) Imraan Bin Husain (radhiyallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "In this Ummah will be earthquakes, disfiguration (of faces which will be transformed into apes and pigs) and showers of stone (descending on them from the heaven)." A man from among the Muslimeen said: "O Rasulullah! When will this be?" Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "When singing girls and musical instruments will become profuse and when liquor will be consumed (in abundance)."(Tirmizi) (4) Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu anhu) narrated that Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "During the last of ages (in close proximity to Qiyaamah) a nation from my Ummah will be disfigured (and transformed) into apes and pigs." The Sahaabah said: "O Rasulullah! Will they be Muslim?" Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Yes. They will be testifying that there is no deity but Allah and that I am His Rasool, and they will be fasting (in the month of Ramadhaan)." The Sahaabah asked: "O Rasulullah! What will be their condition (to warrant such chastisement)?" Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "They will be indulging in musical instruments, singing girls, musical drums, and they will be consuming liquor. They will one night go to sleep after their liquor and amusement. When they arise in the morning, they will have been disfigured (and transformed into apes and pigs)." (Kaf-fur Ruaa') It is apparent from this Hadith that the musical drum (the tablah of the qawwaals) and similar other kinds of musical drums are not the duff mentioned in the Ahaadith. Musical drums have been declared haraam unanimously by all authorities from the very age of the Sahaabah. (5) According to another Hadith, also narrated by Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu anhu), Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "I take oath by The Being Who has sent me with the Haqq (Truth)! The world will not come to an end until earthquakes, the descent of showers of stones (from the heaven) and disfigurement of faces (which will be transformed into apes and swines) had not taken place.' The Sahaabah said: 'When will that happen, O Rasulullah?' He replied: 'When you see women seated on saddles (i.e. riding horses and in this age, driving cars); when singing girls are to be found in profusion; when false testimony becomes rampant, and when homosexuality and lesbianism become prevalent." (Bazzaar and Tibraani)

Shaitan and Firawn

posted by abu mohammed on 26th April 2010 - 0 comments
Once, an inhabitant of Egypt brought a bunch of grapes before Firawn and asked him to transform them into pearls.
Firawn took the grapes inside his chamber and sat down pondering as to how he could transform them into pearls. In the meantime Satan arrived and knocked at his door. Firawn asked: “Who is it?” Satan replied: “Woe unto that Allah, who knows not who stands behind the door.” Having said this he stepped into the chamber, took the grapes from Firawn and recited one of the Holy Names of Allah upon them whereupon they were immediately transformed into pearls.
Then, turning to Firawn, he said: “O' Firawn! Judge with fairness and justice! Despite possessing such virtues and powers I am not worthy of being worshipped, but you, with the ignorance that you possess, claim Allah-ship for yourself and say: 'I am the great Allah of the people?'”
Firawn inquired: “Why did you not prostrate beforeAdam so as not to be expelled from the presence of Allah?”
Satan retorted in disgust: “Because I knew that a dirty entity like you would come into existence from his loins.”

Shaitan and Yahya (AS)

Once, the accursed Satan manifested himself before the Prophet Yahya Ibn Zakariya (a.s). Observing that he had in his possession numerous ropes, Yahya (a.s) inquired: “O' Iblis! What are these ropes that you hold in your hand?”
Satan replied: “These ropes are the various attachments, inclinations and lusts that I have found in the children of Adam.”
Yahya (a.s) asked: 'Does there exist a rope for me too?'
Satan said: 'Yes. When you satiate yourself with food, you experience weightiness and it is for this reason you become disinclined with respect to your prayers, dhikr and supplications.'
Hearing this, Yahya (a.s) vowed: 'By Allah! Never shall I eat to my fill, ever again.'
Iblis responded by pledging: “By Allah! Never shall I advise anyone, ever again.”

As i am a student of knowledge, I have been informed that the story narrated was fabricated, therefore it has been removed.

Alhumdullilah, when i post things like this i always try my best to get the references, or I say that it has not been verified.

I am but a student, I dont consider my self to be even in the Nursery of Islamic knowledge if there was such a thing.

Shukran.

Shaitan and Musa (AS)

Prophet Musa and Shaitan Once, Satan approached Prophet Musa (a.s) and said to him: “You are the Prophet of Allah while I am one of His sinning and disobedient creations. It is my desire that I repent before Him, so request Him to accept my repentance.” Musa (a.s) agreed and prayed for him, whereupon Allah said: “O' Musa! I shall accept your intercession for him. Tell him to prostrate upon Adam's grave in order that I accept his repentance.” Musa (a.s) met Satan and said: “Prostrating upon Adam's grave shall cause your repentance to be accepted.” Hearing this, Satan said: “I did not prostrate before Adam when he was alive, how can I prostrate upon his grave now that he is dead? I shall never do such a thing!”

Shaitan and Nuh (AS)

posted by abu mohammed on 12th April 2010 - 0 comments
Prophet Nuh and Shaitan After Prophet Nuh (a.s) had disembarked from his ark, Shaitan approached him and said: “You have greatly obliged me and so I wish to thank you for your obligation and give you something in exchange!” Nuh (a.s) said: “I am indisposed to the fact that I oblige you and you recompense me for it. Anyway, go on and tell me the truth.” Shaitan said: “Indeed I have to strive hard and exert myself before I can lead one person astray, but you cursed the people and all of them were destroyed and so, at least at present, I am at ease till another community is born and reaches the age of responsibility before I invite them towards disobedience (of Allah)!! Now, in reciprocation of your good deed, I shall give you a word of advice. Stay away from three attributes: Firstly - never exhibit arrogance, for it was because of this vice that I did not prostrate before your father, Adam and was expelled from the presence of Allah. Secondly - stay away from greed, for it was this due to this that Adam consumed the wheat and was deprived of Paradise.
