The Possition of Ijmaa' in the Ummah

posted by abu mohammed on 14th October 2010 - 0 comments
The Way Of The Believers Allah Says in the Quran Whoever opposes the Rasool after the guidance (the truth of Islam) has become manifest (clear) to him and follows a path other than that of the Mu'mineen, We shall allow him to do that thing which he is doing and then enter him into Jahannam. It is the worst of abodes. Surah Nisaa: Verse 115 O you who have Imaan! Obey Alllah, obey the Rasool and those in command among you (your leaders and authorities in all fields, such as the Imams of Jurisprudence in Fiqh). If you dispute regarding any matter, then refer it to Allah (find the solution in the Qur'an) and the Rasool (or find the solution in the sunnat) if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. This is best (for all) and gives the best results (because then you will not be basing your decisions on your personal opinions).

Following Desires to Shirk

posted by abu mohammed on 11th October 2010 - 1 comment
I often tell certain brothers to stop following what they like, as they seem to be picking and choosing from different schools, usually to suit their own preference, to please others who believe they are on the right path, or because they are told that they should find the strongest opinion and follow that. Please take a look ate the other blogs to see who has the strogest opinion. Also see Seifeddines Blog on following 1 imam and sticking to it. Many times I have told them that following your own desires would lead to shirk and at the time the only evidence I was able to provide them with was the Ayah from the Quran regarding Athiests. Allah tells us that people say that the Athiest has no God, But infact Allah tells us that their God is their desires. Therefore idicating to us that the Lord of the Athiest is their desires "Hawa", Evil and corrupted Desires. Alhumdulillah I have come across another 10 verses from the Quran to back me up. How Following Your Desires will lead you to Shirk. "DO YOU SEE THE MAN WHO MAKES HIS DESIRE HIS GOD" To make a God other than Allah is Shirk. Need I say more.

Which Imam did The Sahaba's follow?

posted by abu mohammed on 8th October 2010 - 4 comments
On many occasions people are confronted by those who are trying to confuse Muslims. (A satanic deception). They ask certain questions about Schools of thought and try to create confussion amongst the Muslims. I have personaly been asked this question many times. I was asked the same Question on my Blog "Reading the Quran during Menstruation". to which I had given a lengthy reply. I have since used the same reply for this blog. (with a little additon) Firstly I would like to add a Hadith here. Imam Bukhari has taken proofs from the Quran and Hadith. He has quoted Hadith under the following headings: "Hold on fast to the Jamaat of Muslims and their Imam"(page 059, Vol 1) "One who seperates oneself from the Jamaat ([i]of Muslims) even a hand span, will die a death of ignorance"[/b](page 1045, Vol 2) There is also an order even execute those who seperate themselves from the Jamaat of Muslims and their Imam."...they will leave Islam in the way an arrow leaves its bow...wherever you see them, you should kill them. Their killing will be rewardable on the day of Qiyaamah"(page 75, Vol 2) "A group of people will emerge from amongst you, who will belittle your Salah over theirs , and your Fasts over teirs, and your actions over theirs, they will recite the Quran, which will not pass their throats (have no effect upon them), the will leave the Deen like an arrow leaves its bow" (page 756, Vol2).

Salah of the Women

posted by abu mohammed on 7th October 2010 - 4 comments
Women's Prayer: Why is it different? From: THE SALAH OF WOMEN published by Madrasah Arabiyyah Islamiyah (Aazadville) Incorrect Statements Sheikh Albani says in his book 'The Prophet's Prayer': All that has been mentioned of the description of the Prophet's prayer (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) applies equally to men and women, for there is nothing in the Sunnah to necessitate the exception of women from any of these descriptions; in fact, the generality of his statement (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam), "Pray as you have seen me praying", includes women.

The Persians & Hidden Knowledge

posted by abu mohammed on 6th October 2010 - 3 comments
What was The Prophet (SAW) Indicating? Abu Huraira reported: We were sitting in the company of Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) that Sura al-Jumu’a was revealed to him and when he recited (these words):” Others from amongst them who have not yet joined them,” Then a person amongst them (those who were sitting there) said: Allah’s Messenger...! But Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) made no reply, until he questioned him once, twice or thrice. There was amongst us Salman al Farisi (The Persian). The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) placed his hand on Salman and then said: Even if faith were near the Pleiades (The furthest Planet), a man from amongst these (Presians) would surely find it. (Book 031, Number 6178) another version Narrated Abu Huraira: While we were sitting with the Prophet Surat Al-Jumu'a was revealed to him, and when the Verse, "And He (Allah) has sent him (Muhammad) also to other (Muslims).....' (62.3) was recited by the Prophet, I said, "Who are they, O Allah's Apostle?" The Prophet did not reply till I repeated my question thrice. At that time, Salman Al-farisi was with us. So Allah's Apostle put his hand on Salman, saying, "If Faith were at (the place of) Ath-Thuraiya (the highest star), even then some men or man from these people (i.e. Salman's folk, persians) would attain it." (Book 60, Hadith 420,Sahih Bukhari). But in Darus Salam's translation of Tafsir ibn Khathir by Mohsin Khan, leaves out the commentary of Muffassir ibn Kathir. In the commentary ibn Kathir says that the Ulama hold the view that when Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wassallam) placed his mubarak hand on Salman Farsi (R.A.) and said "a man from these people would attain it", they believe that this man can be no one else except al-Imam al-Azam Abu Hanifah (R.A.). Because no one from Persia has attained such status in all the branches of Islam as Imam Abu Hanifa.

Qiyas, Shar'i Analogy & Taqleed

posted by abu mohammed on 5th October 2010 - 0 comments
I recently bought a book called Taqleed, excellent book, I must say. Any way, I was looking up some quotes where I came across this article from the actual book. Thanks to AhmedTrini (where I found it by fluke) I have uploaded it onto my blog. In this present age of ours, a new group has sprung up, who claim to follow the Hadith. In reality they are far from following the Hadith. They regard as trivial many Ahadith. They find any flimsy excuse to reject most Ahadith. They also regard as insignificant the speech and actions of the Sahabah (radhiAllaahu anhum). They regard themselves as; Muhaqqiqeen (learned researchers and scholars of Deen). These are the ones who are destroying the Shariat-e-Muhammediyyah (S.A.W). They are annihilating the signs of the Sunnat. They devise all sorts of plans and present excuses to reject many Ahadith, which they dub as being Aweak. May Allaah Taala save us from deviating from the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, and aligning ourselves with such errant sects. AMEEN From the book

Reading the Quran during Menstruation

posted by abu mohammed on 1st October 2010 - 7 comments
I bought a book by Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips a very long time ago called "Islamic Rules On Menstruation and Post-Natal Bleeding" As I was going through the book, I came across the section that discussed the reading of the Quran by women in their periods. I was quite suprised to see that he Quoted Ibrahim an-Nakhai as saying that there was no evidence to suggest that a women in her menses cant recite the Quran. AllahuAlum. In a detailed explantion to this, there was a huge footnote. In this he says that even Imam Bukhari was of this opinion, again Allahu Alum if this was the case. Any way, he then goes on to show a Hadith in which reading the Quran was not allowed, and then claims that this Hadith is weak. He goes on and on. SubhanAllah. In the copy of the book I have, I have marked it and kept it for reference. AllahuAkbar, this is all I need to show someone when they tell me that they are interested in becomming a Salafi. First I pose the question about touching the Quran without Wudhu, see what they say, then hit them with this book. (Comment removed.....)..So easy.

Wrong payment of Zakat, Get it Back

posted by abu mohammed on 27th September 2010 - 6 comments
Zakat in the wrong hands The Quran tells us in Surah Tauba; Verse 60 which people we can give zakat to. As told to us by Dr Zakir Naik on many occasions. (A brilliant speaker on Comparative Religion) Zakat is the amount of money that every adult, mentally stable, free, and financially able Muslim, male and female, has to pay to support specific categories people. This category of people is defined in surah at-Taubah (9) verse 60: "The alms are only for the poor and the needy, and those who collect them, and those whose hearts are to be reconciled, and to free the captives and the debtors, and for the cause of Allah, and (for) the wayfarers; a duty imposed by Allah. Allah is knower, Wise." (The Holy Qur'an 9:60). Or in other words

Masah on Socks! NO, NO, NO.

posted by abu mohammed on 24th September 2010 - 11 comments
Masah on Normal Socks & Shoes Although the Ghair Muqalids (Salafi's) like to do Masah on socks and say that there is no evidence that you cant, well, Shaykh Bin Baz clearly says that you cant. Shaykh ibn Baz (ra) has also written in his Fatawa, “It is not permissible to wipe over thin socks them”. (fatawa islamiyya pg102). Amazing how the Salafis reject the opinion of their own scholars and take the opinion of their desires. For reference for all four mazahib see text below from al fiqhul islami wa adilatuhu vol 1 pg 498:
