The Democratic Republic of Muhammad (Sal-lal-lahu-alaihi-wa-sallam) By Amani Aboul Fadl Farag The United States boasts about democracy as being an invention which it has spread all over the free world, but according to facts of history, democracy is not an American invention. It is thought that democracy was first practiced in Rome BC where the Caesar was elected by the members of the Senate. But this Roman experience could easily be detected as an incomplete democracy, as the senators themselves were representatives of aristocracy and social elites who did not voice the common Romans as much as they voiced their own caste. No matter how short lasting and incomplete the Roman experience might have been, it was highly priced for being a privilege to all humanity and a step forward towards more mature ones.

Authenticity of The Qur'an The preservation of The Qur'an: "An unbroken living sequence of devotion " What is The Qur'an? The Quran is the holy book of the Muslims, revealed by God to the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during his life in Mecca and Madinah. The Quran literally means the recitation and contains the original text of Gods revelation to Muhammad. Method of preserving The Qur'an The Qur'an was revealed over 1400 years ago to the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the early 7th century AD. It was revealed over a period of 23 years, with the first revelation being sent down when the Prophet (peace be upon him) was 40 years of age. The first revelation came to him when he was in a cave on mount Hira, situated east of the holy city of Mecca.

The Qur'an remains unchanged

The Qur'an remains unchanged Research carried out to compare the various ancient Quranic texts reveal no differences between them. The institute for Koranforschung, in the University of Munich (Germany) collected over 42,000 complete or incomplete ancient copies of the Qur'an. After around fifty years of research, they reported that there was no variance between the various copies, except the occasional mistakes of the copyist which could easily be ascertained. From the above facts and research, one can conclude, with evidence, that the story of how the Qur'an came to us has to be true as told by the four Ahadith scholars of the first four centuries. Their accounts mutually agree and prove the incident which led the Qur'an to be in its present state. "Verily We have revealed the reminder, and verily We shall preserve it." (Qur'an 15:9)

Knowledge from the Quran

[h]The Quran is a source of guidance unto Mankind until the day of Qiyaamah (doomsday). The Quran contains colossal amounts of knowledge. Many scholars of Tafseer (Exegesis) have attested to the unique knowledge encapsulated in the Quran. Hadhrat Abdullah Bin Masood (Radhiyallahu Anhu states: Whosoever wishes to learn knowledge, then he should seek knowledge from the Quran. Allamah Suyoothi (Rahmatullahi Alayhi), a famous Mufassir (exegete) and Muhaddith (expert in Hadeeth) states: The knowledge of the Quran and that which is deduced wherefrom is, a sea which has no shore Qaadhi Abu Bakr Ibnul Arabi (Rahmatullahi Alayhi), a famous Mufassir (exegete) discusses the unique knowledge of the Quran and states: Indeed the Quran has seventy seven thousand four hundred and fifty branches (77, 450) of knowledge according to the number of words in the Quran. Each word contains four dimensional branches of knowledge which when multiplied, the total amount of branches of knowledge contained in the Quran is three hundred and nine thousand eight hundred (309, 800).
