SubhanAllah, I just realized one thing and never thought about it before and probably just speculating.
Hazrat Maryam عليه السلام is in severe pain and then she is told "Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream".
Surah Maryam, Verse 23:
And the throes (of childbirth) compelled her to betake herself to the trunk of a palm tree. She said: Oh, would that I had died before this, and had been a thing quite forgotten!
Surah Maryam, Verse 24:
Then (the child) called out to her from beneath her: Grieve not, surely your Lord has made a stream to flow beneath you;

Is this indicating towards the use of a birthing pool to ease the pain? Since many pregnant women sit in a pool to ease the pain, a natural pain killer? However, I do appreciate that she is being told to eat and drink in the later verses. Obviously, she wouldn't be drinking from the same water if she was easing her pain in it, or would she? Well, since it's a Flowing Stream, this would indicate that the water is being purified due to it being flowing!
Was the stream already there? Or did Allah put it there for her at that moment in time?
Blog post to be updated soon inshaAllah with additional findings which have been posted on the main forum.
