12. WIPING THE FACE AFTER WUDU WITH A HANDKERCHIEF AND TRIMMING THE MOUSTACHE
39. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammaad that Ibrahim said concerning a man who performs wudu and then wipes his face with a cloth, 'There is no harm in it. Then he said, 'What do you think of the case in which he washes on a cold night: should he stand until he is dry?'"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to that and we see no harm in it, and it is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
40. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us saying, Hammad narrated to us that Ibrahim said concerning a man who cuts his nails or trims his hair [after doing wudu]. "Let him pass water over it.""
Muhammad said, "I heard Abu Hanifa say, 'Sometimes I cut my nails, trim my hair and do not pour water [over them] again until I pray.'"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to this and this is the verdict of al-Hasan al-Basri."
