The Fatiha is recited 17 times a day at the minimum, yet as Muslims do we understand what it means. Allah Subhaanuhuwata'aala begins the Qur'an with this chapter, Allah Subhaanuhuwata'aala chose this chapter to continuously remind us, who is the King of the Day of Judgement?
SubhaanAllah! so beautiful.

Allamah Aaloosi r.a. says,
"Allah has granted the ability to make tawbah (repentance) from the heavens so that he may while on earth, repent In the court of Allah Subhaanuhuwata'aala."
We have now come to realize that the tawfeeq (divine guidance) of tawbah is a heavenly gift; one who ignores it and carries on sinning is nothing but an international donkey.

Committing Sins is Contrary to the Nobility of Servitude
Allah Subhaanuhuwata'aala has exhibited only a single percent of His mercy in this world while He has reserved the remaining 99%, which will be displayed on the Day of Resurrection. On that day it will be seen what classes of people will be meted out with forgiveness and salvation. People who are looked down upon and regarded as confirmed Jahannamis (destined for hell), will on that day, take wing and fly to Jannah (paradise). Not a single possessor of imaan, even it be the weight of a mustard seed, will be deprived of His mercy, but, to depend on His mercy and continue living a life of sin is sheer shamelessness and totally contrary to the dictates of virtue and nobility.
This does not mean that we should continue sinning with the intention that Allah's mercy will encompass us. If someone gives us ointment which is highly effective in the treatment of burns, will we be so foolish as to put our hands in fire in order to test the effectiveness of the ointment. We do believe without doubt that Allah is the Provider yet we resort to means by opening our shops or by finding employment. Therefore, have the same degree of faith in Allah's attribute of Forgiving as we have in His quality of Provider. Do we, by having faith in His providence, close our shops and do we give up working?
Therefore, let the level of our faith with both attributes be the same. Let us not with the hope of Allah's forgiveness continue sinning and give up the effort to abstain from sin. Allah is al- Raaziq (Provider), He does provide for us, but we have to make effort, don't we?

ARE WE ANY HAPPIER? According to the School of Economics, prior to financially struggling, once people are able to afford the basic essentials or even more, happiness does not increase. When comparing happiness among rich and poor countries, and looking at surveys of happiness over time, levels of happiness have not changed in the last 30 years, despite the doubling of living standards. Ironically, while we spend more now on leisure goods, travel, housing, motoring, mobile phones, internet devices, then half a century ago, we still have less time to enjoy them. Thus, leaving us the question, why are we not any happier? We have more wealth and spending power then we did over 30 years ago, but we are still not happy. What is it that is missing in our lives, why is our wealth not bringing us happiness? Wealth can be defined as our property, children, money, earnings, assets, etc, anything that is of worldly value. However, our wealth can only hold value if it is earned, acquired and utilised in the correct manner. Wealth has been bestowed upon us so we can utilise it in attaining Jannah. It is a great bounty and blessing from Allah Subhaanuhuwataaala. Imagine how difficult life would be without it. If this bounty is acquired and spent in the correct manner, it would become a means for us to attain the pleasure and closeness of Allah Subhaanuhuwataaala. Our wealth does not bring us happiness or comfort in this world because the earth is our temporary abode which will one day diminish forever. Our objective in life should be to acquire the eternal happiness of the Hereafter. When one becomes attached to wealth, it leads a person to become increasingly inclined towards the love of this world, leaving them neglectful in working towards attaining the everlasting happiness of the Hereafter.
