A Misconception: Is choosing an imam with a beautiful wife a condition in the Hanafi fiqh? Answered by Maulana Ismael Muhammedi
As far as I know, the point about the most beautiful wife is not the official position of the Hanafi Madhab and is only a solution deduced by the author of Radd al Muhtar, Allamah Ibn Abideen (rahmatullahialayh) himself.
However, the explanation given should satisfy anyone with an open mind and heart, and should bourne the attention and virtue given by the scholars for Al Islam.
