Sheikh Riyadh Ul Haq talks about his meeting with a neo-salafi brother, and the conversation that took place.
This was a very integral upload because in the past when i experimented with Salafism, i was frustrated by there being no set answer and the ultimate and never-ending quest to look for Daleels [proofs]. I didnt have time to work on my spirituality and character because my spare time was always spent looking for proofs. Like the Sheikh says "Glory be to the Scholars of Islam, after Allah"
If Islam has not been understood in 1400 years through the Sahabah, Tabieen and Taba Tabieen, then there is no hope now!
Allah clearly mentions if you dont know, ask someone who does [nearest meaning of Surah Al Nahl:43]. We will not get penalised for following an expert. There are more important Faraa'id to be worrying about that the placing of the hands during salah. The scholars are there, and the deen has come to us by the hard work of 1000's of people working day and night over 1400 years. If YOU think you can ignore that and do you own "research" then only Allah can save you.
Ibni Abidin writes, "The knowledge of fiqh is as indispensable for everybody as food is. Abdullah ibni Masud 'radiAllahu anh', who sowed the seeds of this knowledge, was one of the greatest and best learned ones of the Sahaba. Alqama, his disciple, watered these seeds and turned them into crops, and Ibrahim Nahai, his disciple, reaped the harvest, that is, gathered the pieces of this knowledge together. Hammad-i Kufi threshed it, and his disciple, Imam-i azam Abu Hanifa, ground it, that is, he classified the knowledge into sections; Abu Yusuf made dough from it, and Imam-i Muhammad baked it. Muslims have been eating the morsels prepared in this procedure.
