Hijab...

assalamu alaykum ww
insha'allah i intend to get married in a couple of years. for the first few years we will live with his family, and then if resourses permit , move out. i have absolutely no problem with this.
however, i wear hijab and due to the fact that my fiance is an alim,he expects me to do hijab from his brothers despite the fact that we'll be living together, eating together etc. as you can imagine this is going to be really hard for me because i will constantly have to be in hijab, even in front of him most of the time...
therefore i just wanted to clarify whether it is necessary to observe full pardah in front of them..if there is no fear of fitnah, then would it not be sufficient for me to cover everything apart from my face?

Travelling whilst on periods.

I have read on another 'question and answer' site that women are not regarded as travelling if they are on a period. Consequently when they take a bath to become pure once they reach their destination, they have to pray full salaat.

I will be travelling to the middle east with my family and am likely to still be on my periods on the journey there, but will probably finish once I get there. My husband will be able to pray qasr, but not me. Why is this so?

Jazakallah.

Speaking to non-mahram shop vendors

Assalaamu alaikum

When a women is out due to necessity to do shopping for the family, is it forbidden for her to answer the salaam of a non mahram shop keeper she comes into contact with? Also, how should one limit their speech when out and about in situations where the voice must be used?

Salaah and wudhu

Assalamu Alaikum,

I have a problem. Alhamdulillah I am doing my Salaah now with right wudhu and everything InshAllah, but before when I did Salaah for a period of maybe one or two months (I'm not sure) I wasn't completely sure if I was a ma'thur and I was confused on the ruling regarding discharge and the validity of one's wudhu. Thus when I was away from home and performing Dhuhr Salaah, due to the diffiulty in performing Istinjaa, I just did wudhu and did Salaah. After some time of learning, I realised that the area soiled must be cleaned and wudhu is invalidated if discharge is visible if it is not clear. Thus my question is: I s my salaah valid on the basis hat I performed my wudhu but did not do istinjaa or cean my clothes. I was not 100% at time perhps if I experienced discharge and if I did whther it was clear, but due to my normal experience I can say that I normally would have discharge If I didn't perform istinjaa for that period of timke when I was away from home.

Also I am not sure if this occured any time after, i.e I have normally always performed my Salaah Alhamdulillah, but apart from that period of time stated above I'm not sure if there has been similar times when my wudhu was not propper perhaps? Should I leave this doubt or re-do my Salaah?

Jazkallah Khair and May Allah Reward you InshAllah!

Masalla with regards to discharge and fasting

Due to a contraceptive method used, I am not getting my normal menses. However, I do have discharge throughout the month , and this can often be discoloured ie yellow in colour. Should I refrain from praying Salaat while experiencing such discharge during my Haidh time? I have been advised to not pray, however it is causing me great anxiety during the month of Ramadhaan as it seems I'm missing my fast due to something I'm not even sure of, as at times I will only get a small spot of discoloured discharge- and then nothing for 3-4 days, where upon I will take ghusl, make up for Salaats missed and then a few days later within my ten days I wil again get a small spotting. I am really confused, please advise.

Bearing witness

As-Salaamu Alaikum,

In the Quran it states that it takes 2 women to bear witness about an issue or occurance (crime)where it only takes one man. Could you please give me clarification about this.

End of Haidh

AssalamuAlaikum,

I was wondering, when does one know when Haidh has ended and when to check.

My normal period of time is about 9/10 days or so or sometimes more, but after about day 8 Imostly only experience discharge being yellow or white but not always red, and I know that this is still regarged as Haidh if within 10 days and it is not clear, but when does one know when to check? Do I check an hour before every Salaah or whenevr I have the need to go to the toilet etc? Because say if one goes to the toilet at Asr and sees there is some discharge and thus Haidh still continues, Maghrib at times is very near to Asr, thus do they check before maghrib as well, and if one does and sees no Haidh how does one know that this is because it has stopped or because it is due to the short period of time after you did istinjiaa and thus it has been washed away but may appear after some hours?

Jazkallah Khair!

Purdah

i am 17yrs of age, i wear the full hijab, jilbab n niqaab, i have been doin so for the past yr or so, my family is not very practisin-i have 3 brother in laws, they are married to my elder sisters and have been a part of the family for more than 10yrs, meaning they've been there in my days of jahil, i find it hard to observe hijaab in front of them as my family think it isn't necessary to do so in front of them, so whats the minimum i should do, should i just wear the scarf and not the niqaab-i wear salwar kameez at home, do i have to wear the jilbab also?, theyv seen me from the age of 3yrs, does that make any differnce? i have no doubts of fitnah, however i would like islamic viewpoints inshallah, may Allah be pleased with you

Re: women praying in congregation

Assalamualykum

Following on from question number 2292, if it is makrooh-e-tahrimi for a female to lead and other females to follow, what is the ruling about females praying behind a male imam (with the necessary segregation in place)

my haiz goes over 10 days therefore it lasts 15days. Do I count my clean days from the 11th day when I still see blood or do I count my clean days from the day I see no blood which would be the 15th day.

Haiz?

Asslamu alaykum.

If bleeding stops within 10 days and 10 nights but yellowish discharge continues beyond 10 nights, when would i assume the end of my period? This question has been answered before but for a sister following the shaafee school of thought. Is the ruling the same from a Hanafi point of veiw?
