I am a practicing muslim in year 12 of school. The time has now come for me to make a decision of going into further studies.Please could you tell me if a degree in law is permissible as some cases that are fought when being involved in law may be against islamic teachings,

We run a business, and often we get family and close friends asking us to write good references for them for their next job. These references are based on them making up fake employment in our business. "Helping the muslim brother/sister" means I have to Lie. Will helping them be acceptable? if not how big a sin would it be?
