usage of insulin and checking blood sugar during fast

my son who is 13 years old is diabetic. he takes insulin before breakfast, lunch and dinner and another insulin at bedtime before he sleeps. and after two hours of his every meal we check is blood sugar level and fasting too and maintain his chart for his consultant. my question is can he check his blood sugar level through glucometer while he is fasting? please advice a.s.a.p. thanking your,

Taking an insulin injection or using a glucometer whilst fasting is permissible.

However, you should consult a Muslim doctor on whether it is advisable for you to fast or not.

والمفطر إنما هو الداخل من المنافذ (رد المحتار على در المختار ج2 ص395)

وفي الجائفة والآمة إذا داواهما بدواء يابس لا يفسد صومه وإذا داواهما بدواء رطب يفسد صومه عند أبي حنيفة خلافا لهما وأكثر المشايخ اعتبر الوصول إلى الجوف

(المحيط البرهاني، كتاب الصوم، الفصل الرابع: 3/348؛ إدارة)

ثُمَّ خُرُوجُ الدَّمِ مِنْ الْبَدَنِ لَا يُفَوِّتُ رُكْنَ الصَّوْمِ وَلَا يَحْصُلُ بِهِ اقْتِضَاءُ الشَّهْوَةِ وَبَقَاءُ الْعِبَادَةِ بِبَقَاءِ رُكْنِهَا (المبسوط للسرخسي ج 3 ص 57 دار المعرفة)
