Question: PRIVATE-kufr words
PRIVATE. My mum was keeping some qaza fasts and my dad said "Dont keep Nafil fasts." My mum told him "These are not Nafil but are qaza fasts from previous years." My dad replied "You shouldn`t keep them. Allah will forgive them," although he knows they have to be kept. Are my dad`s words kufr words as he is denying a Faraz? My mum said a person cannot become kaafir just by that. Is she right? Also, once my 10 year old sister said to my mum"We could have been in Jannat if Hazrat Adam Alayhis salam had not made that mistake." Then my mum said "Yes, we could have been in Jannat if Hazrat Adam Alayhis salam and Hazrat Hawa had not done that." Are these kufr words? I think I read somewhere that this cannot be said. Do my parents need to renew their nikah? Please answer as soon as possible. Jazakallah

In the Name of Allah, the Inspirer of Truth.
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

The scenarios described do not take one out of the fold of Islam. Your parent's statements, though sinful and serious, do not take them out of the
fold of Islam. They should repent sincerely and
refrain from passing such comments in future.
