Question: Platinum rings?
Assalamualaikum,

I have recently read a question on this site regarding women which states we are only able to wear rings made of real gold and silver.

I would just like to clarify- does that mean we are not able to wear rings made of platinum? And also is thr any ruling on stones like diamonds etc?

It is permissible for women to wear Platinum Rings.

The answer is written by a dear friend of mine who is currently studying under Mufti Ebrahim Desai.

Research was done into the issue of Platinum Rings and this is the conclusion they came to.

It's also permissible for a Woman to wear any type of precious stones
(eg. diamonds, pearls, sapphire, rubies etc.).
