assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu
i hope you are in the best of health and imaan by the grace of the almighty Allah
my problem is that i am currently studying to become an aalim and there is one factor that is seriously hindering my progress..alhamdulillah allah has blessed me with intelligence and understanding so the course is going fine. however, the course is, as it often tends to be, in arabic and urdu and i have a speech impediment which makes it extemely difficult for me. on a daily basis i undergo shame and embarassment and it often makes me question my position and whether or not i should continue...
hence i wanted to know if there were any islamic remedies which would assist me in any way whatsoever..

The best cure is to recite Surah Ta Ha, verse 25:28, twenty times after the morning prayers. (Aamale Qurani) Insha'allah, it will be cured.


Musa (as) had speech impediment, he made this Du'a to remove his stammering, as long as his speech became clear for the listeners.

Some Scholars say that the statement that Musa (As) made, "that they may understand my speech, "limited his Du'a to propagation only.Thus, there remained a stammer in his normal speech. Had he not mentioned this condition, he would also have become fluent and eloquent. ( The lives of the messengers Pg. 249)

Below is the Arabic text, transliteration and translation of the Du'a:

رب اشرح لى صدرى و يسرلى امرى واحلل عقدة من لسانى يفقهو قولى

Transliteration: 'Rab-bish-rahlee Sadree wa-Yassirlee Amree Wa-hlul U'qdatam Mil-lisaanee Yafqahu Qaulee'

(Musa) said: "O my Lord! Expand me my breast; Ease my task for me; And remove the impediment from my speech. So they may understand what I say" (Ta Ha, 25:28)
