Question: Drawing blood during ihram
Salaam,

I have a question about drawing blood while in a state of ihram during hajj. If someone uses an interdental brush during ihram and it causes their gums to bleed, does this require any form of penalty or expiation?

Also if a person were to hold a soap bar in the restrooms to smell and check if it is fragranced and discovers that it is so, although the soap was not applied to the entire limb (only held using 3 fingers and put down immediately), what is the required penalty?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الجواب حامداومصليا

This will not invalidate one’s Ihram or require a penalty. Prophet (صلي الله عليه وسلم ) had performed Hijama whilst in the state of Ihram.

2. A Sadaqah will be required. The same amount that you give for Sadaqatul fitr.

And Allah knows best
