Question: zakat on work in progress
AOA,

I am a manufacturer of surgical instruments, we buy semi-finished goods from our vendor and then we do the final finishing before exporting them.

What i want to ask is, before this final finishing process will our stock be considered work in progress (therefore calculated based on the market value) or finished goods (calculated on the sales price) ?

Once the goods are finished you can include the sales price when calculating Zakat.
