Hassen Rasool

Assalamu Alaykum Warahma Tullaah, Can any of the Ulamaa please listen to some recitation of Hassen Rasool (a new qari in London) and tell me whether it is too musicy because I heard of a hadith prohibiting the recitation of the Qur'aan in a too melodious tune. His surah fatihah automatically plays in the background here: http://www.hassenrasool.com/art (flash is required)

Photographs

Assalamu Aleikum

i have recently heard that taking photographs of living beings is haraam.
i can understand why this would be so if the intention was to worship the photographs, but is there any harm in taking photographs just for the memory of a special occasion??
like when im with my friends, we like to take photographs of the good times we'v had together, is that a sin?
please advice me

Wearing Allah's name

I am a teacher in a newly established islamic school. My concern is that the childrens uniform bears the logo Al-Ameen and the children go to the toilet wearing it. Is it permissible to wear this to the toilet being Allahs name?

Attending family ceremonies

Assalamoalaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakatuh

Alhamdulillah, I am a recent revert to Islam, however my family is still hindu. When a significant event takes place in my family, I am invited and expected to attend. For example, at weddings, births, funerals etc.

My family have grudgingly accepted the fact that I am a Muslim and so I am not expected to attend temple on a religious basis. However in the instance of these types of events ceremonies such as the bride and groom circling the fire and the cremation at death, my family expect me to be there.

For me not to attend these events would cause great division within the family. For fear of exarcebating the situation with my family, I am currently attending (but not participating in any aspect of) the ceremonies.

Please advise.

Shaytaan in dream

Salam,

I would just like to ask about a dream that my friend had. She really wants to know if it has any meaning to it.

Well she said that on a monday she had a dream that a devil was following her. But this devil came in the form of a person in our school, who is in our year and she is not a muslim. She was following my friend (but she came as a devil) and my friend kept praying so that the devil (the girl who came in the fom of a devil) would go away. She was trying everything to get away, prayed alot e.g. Surah's and Kalimah but it kept following her.

Now that was the first dream.

Two days later, on a Wenesday, she had a dream that I passed away and all she added that she cried alot.

Do these dreams have any meaning to them?

If it's just a dream from Shaytaan then let it be forgotten but if Allah ta'ala is trying to tell her something through these two dreams then kindly let me know.
Jazakallah,
Wassalam
