I am currently studying at college and i feel inclined towards marriage to protect my Imaan. I have discussed the issue with my parents but they find it difficult to relate to my situation and fail to understand my stance. This is ofcourse understandable beacause they do not understand to what gravity a persons Imaan has to be compromised. This is more or less a blatant fact that by sending your children to colleges and universities, their Imaan is in danger. Not to upset my parents, I do not mention the issue with them but I still am in danger and I wonder is it wise put my self in a place daily where it is almost impossible to protect ones gaze. You cannot just say that just carry on and just wait because one needs to put himself in the position of many god fearing youth and the dilemma they face.

Assalamu-alaikum. I was watching a BBC programme that highlighted the lack of black and asian people that carry donor cards. A representative from the NHS commented that many asian and black people do not offer to donate their organs after death as it is against their religion. The person insisted that as far as the NHS were aware there are no religions which stop a believer from donating organs or body parts to save another human life. I have always thought that donating your body parts after death is haram but I have seen no evidence of it. Can you please clarify whether or not Muslims are allowed to do this?

Salam,
Can you confirm that you can keep any name. as when Muhamed(PBUH) was born he was born to parents who were idol worshippers, and as Islam spread people like Omer (RA) Abu Bakr (RA) Khatija (RA) and Abu Sufyan (RA) all kept thier pre-islamic names. So that leads to the conclusion that you can keep any name, as with names that are mentioned in Koran of prophets whose parents were of Idol worshippers who gave them their names and subsequently never changed them during prophethood e.g Ibrahim, Moosa, Ayoob, Lot and Muhammed etc.

I have a relation who sells carrier bags to retail shops including off licences, who would use the bags to carry the alcohol drinks. Firstly, is it permissible to sell such items to these places as from what I can see, it is aiding them in the sale of alcohol? And secondly, if not, would it be permissible to eat at the person's house because of the income being questionable? I should add that the person in question has told me that he asked an alim, and the alim said it was permissible, but another person told me that he asked Maulana Yusuf Ludhwani ra, and they stated if was not permissible, however this obviously can not be confirmed. I would appreciate the clarification. Was salam
