Sparing

respected ulamaa. what is the shar'e viewpoint regarding sparing in physical close contact sports such as boxing, kick boxing etc would it be permissable to spar and hit the face/head etc of the training partner? please answer the question in detail if possible. may Allah Ta'aala reward you all, jazakumullahu khairan.
