I wonder how these things affect targeted person. How should one protect oneself from these evils? If it is established that there are bad effects of black magic etc, how can be they removed? The menace of black magic & other related evils is very rampant these days in society. People just cannot tolerate any happiness to others. There are persons who do this evil business for these ill minded people. Furthermore, there are also persons who claim to cure against these evils but again mostly fraudulent ? I think. It is also frequently claimed that cure against black magic is extremely difficult and dangerous for ordinary people. Hence, more and more people are falling prey to them. I wonder how these things affect targeted person. How should one protect oneself from these evils? If it is established that there are bad effects of black magic etc, how can be they removed? Please highlight in the light of Islamic teachings.

Answer

In the name of Allah the Creator of All

I have never heard anything about weather washing clothes will prevent black magic. For such Magic to be done it is necessary to know the name of the person who it is to be done on. You have nothitng to fear.

One of things, which Shariah has taught, is to recite Surah Al-Falaq in the morning and evening. Further to this there is a Dua which I learnt from my teachers which is:

Bismilllahil Lazhee La Ya-dhurruhu Ma'asmihee Shay-un fil Ardhi wa laa fis-Samaa-ee wa huwas samee'ul 'Aleem.

This should be read three or seven times or eleven times every morning and evening.

The other good protection from Evil is the recitation of Surah Falaq and Surah An-Naas.

We should always trust in Allah and realise that all good and bad is from Allah even if someone is wasting away their Iman and fixing a place in Hell for themselves by practising the evil filthy art of black magic (Jadu) and sorcery. As Muslims and followers of Rasulullah (saw) we should adhere to the methods and ways shown to us by Our Prophet. We ourselves should keep our Imaan and Hearts strong and not worry about doing the right thing when it is necessary. In this case the sending of clothes to India is a good thing but mere thoughts are preventing one from carrying the deed out.

And Allah knows best
