is it allowed for a person to play snooker? if not why?

Bismillah
Assalamu alaykum,
Though this is not haraam provided it is not accompanied by gambling, nor
does it effect the performance of obligations like salaah, obedience to
parents, etc, these type of games that do not have any physical benefit are
however, disliked (Makruh).
And Only Allah Ta'ala Knows Best.
