Mailing opening job in the bank

Assalamualaikum wrwb, I work in the bank as associate operations processor. I am supposed to open the mail and scan the checks received in mail. Is it permissible? Is my income halal?

It will not be permissible to work in this position as you will be aiding in customers interest transactions.

‌ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡعُدۡوَٲنِ

and do not help each other in sin and aggression.(5:1)

عن جابر رضي الله عنه قال لعن رسول الله صلي الله عليه وسلم آكل الربا وموكله وكاتبه وشاهديه وقال سواء
(رواه مسلم باب الربا)

Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) cursed the one who consumes riba and the one who pays it, the one who writes it down and the two who witness it, and he said: they are all the same. (Muslim)
