Bismillahir-rahmaanir-raheem.

There are many virtues regarding the recitation of Surah al Kahf on Fridays’.

عن أبي سعيد الخدري أن النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم قال : من قرأ سورة الكهف في يوم الجمعة أضاء له من النور ما بين الجمعتين

(سنن البيهقي الكبرى)

“Whoever reads Surah al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.”

(Sunan Al Kubra lil Bayhaqi- Vol: 3- Pg: 353 – Dar ul kutub al Ilmiyyah)

عن أبي سعيد الخدري قال من قرأ سورة الكهف ليلة الجمعة أضاء له من النور فيما بينه وبين البيت العتيق

(سنن الدارمي)

Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri, who said:

“Whoever readsSoorat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka’bah).”

(Sunan Al Daarami, Hadith: 3407, Darul Kitaabil Arabi)

It is preferable to recite Surah al Kahf after Maghrib on Thursday.

قوله "قراءة الكهف" اي يومها و ليلتها, و الافضل في اوّلهما مبادرة للخير و حذراً من الاهمال

(Raddul Muhtaar, Vol: 1, pg: 164, H.M Saeed Company)

If you are willing to spend 32 mins for the sake of Allah, you will be able to recite it inshaAllah.

Here is the youtube video of Recitation of Suratul Kahf by Shaykh Huthaify in 32 mins:

Youtube Video

You can recite it from the screen itself as the arabic text is there in the video itself. For more reward you can listen to the recitation and look at the Mushaf and recite.

Once you do this for every week for a month or two you can switch to Shaykh Ghamadi's recitation which is only 30mins, after becoming more familiar with the surah switch to Shaykh Sudais's recitation which is only 23mins. Switch to faster recitation only when you are familiar or else we won't be able to cope with the speed of the recitation.

The Virtues Of Reciting Surah Kahf On Jumu'ah

Abud-Darda' (رضي الله عنه) reported: The Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: "Whoever commits to memory the first ten Ayat of the Surat Al-Kahf, will be protected from (the trial of) Ad-Dajjal (Antichrist)." [Muslim]

The soorah may be read during the night or the day of Jumu'ah. The night of Jumu'ah starts from sunset on Thursday, and the day of Jumu'ah ends at sunset. Therefore the time for reading this soorah extends from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday.

It is recommended to recite Surat al-Kahf completely the night before Friday, and it is also recommended to do so Friday itself, before Maghrib time. Ibn Abidin said, And it is best to do so early on Friday, in order to rush to the good and to avoid forgetting. [Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar, Bab al-Jumu`a]
