Stop watching the news.

Quote:
From the very beginning of the 2020 pandemic lockdowns, the TV news media matrix went into overdrive. The messages were constant, ubiquitous, and identical. There was no room for subtlety, nuance, or questioning; only helplessness, compliance, and fear.

From a comment on the power of suggestion from the news about someone protecting his father from the news:

Quote:
Then later on during the 'testing hysteria' he convinced himself he had lost his sense of taste so he went and got tested. Talk about a complete assault on the senses! His test came back negative.

illusory truth effect in full motion. So many victims.

In his book, Thinking, Fast and Slow, published in 2011, Tel Aviv-born winner of the 2002 Nobel Prize in economics, Daniel Kahneman examines the dichotomy between two modes of thought: System 1 is fast, instinctive and emotional, System 2 is slower, more deliberative, and more logical.

Quote:
“An availability cascade is a self-sustaining chain of events, which may start from media reports of a relatively minor event and lead up to public panic and large-scale government action. On some occasions, a media story about a risk catches the attention of a segment of the public, which becomes aroused and worried. This emotional reaction becomes a story in itself, prompting additional coverage in the media, which in turn produces greater concern and involvement. The cycle is sometimes sped along deliberately by ‘availability entrepreneurs,’ individuals or organizations who work to ensure a continuous flow of worrying news. The danger is increasingly exaggerated as the media compete for attention-grabbing headlines. Scientists and others who try to dampen the increasing fear and revulsion attract little attention, most of it hostile; anyone who claims that the danger is overstated is suspected of association with a ‘heinous cover-up.’ The issue becomes politically important because it is on everyone’s mind, and the response of the political system is guided by the intensity of public sentiment. The availability cascade has now reset priorities. Other risks, and other ways that resources could be applied for the public good, all have faded into the background.”

Does it sound like it was written in 2020? Why are people so surprised and relentlessly illogically astoundingly defensive when the government and mainstream narrative is challenged?

Where's the influenza (Flu) cases gone?

Source of data: www.who.int/influenza/surveillance_monitoring/updates/202...

So in 2019 we had FLU VACCINES shoved down our throats with half the leaflets and posters in NHS surgeries/hospitals about the deadly flu. Sometimes pressured onto patients almost forcefully that "you will have serious life threatening complications if you don't take this flu jab". But magically in 2020 by week 15 flu has almost vanished?

Some comments from others:

Quote:
Lockdowns are so effective, that they've seeming eradicated everything except coronavirus.

Quote:
Covid-19 has magically cured all other diseases

Wake up sheeple, where's the CONspiracy?

I can't see that post. I blocked him a while ago. With all due respect to him, I don't trust his works. He is not very collected nor intelligent. Knowing lots of information does not make a person intelligent. He is rash and throws tantrums. So adding his username at the end of the link about contemporary or western political issues doesn't add credibility, it actually damages it.

Assalamu alaikum

The majority of members on this forum (if not all) trust his works. In fact it is your posts which aren't trusted by the majority with all due respect, brother.

Muadh's post that we trust are Islamic, Alhumdulillah. When he makes a mistake, he is corrected with the evidence where possible. This happens very little though. His work and understanding of the topics are excellent.

Superglue's posts are not even Islamic in which there are disagreements that we need to discuss.

There is a huge difference between the two.

In my case, I agree with most of what Muadh posts because I understand it better and it is mostly based on Islam. At the same time, I also read Superglue's posts and I look into it with depth because till now, I haven't seen anyone who can counter argue his findings with evidence from experts. Brother In Need of Teaching did a very good job to dissect the evidence, but eventually, Superglue's evidence came on top on the subject.

Of course there are experts on both sides who will have differing opinions. This is where it all gets interesting. Then we decide which expert we are more inclined to on that topic in question.

This post has been reported. It could be due to breaking rules or something as simple as bad use of bbcodes which breaks the page format. We will attend to this soon.

This is something a lot of people don't understand. I have seen support of one person over the other regardless of what's being presented. It becomes a football match where you support one team no matter how much better and honest the other team is. Even when your team gets away with cheating you'll be happy to a certain degree. The same happens here where instead of looking at what is correct and stronger, some weak members just support the individual. That's why there's so many arguments and lack of acceptance of anything contrary to their predetermined belief and devotion to an individual even when they're destroyed factually and proven wrong beyond repair. What's worse is that these same members attack Hadhrat worship when they're guilty of it in their own little way.

Facepalm moment?

Coronavirus deaths exaggerated. Confirmation from an official News source. SKY NEWS (old news) but covered by members already in other ways.

The billionaire chief executive of Tesla and SpaceX has repeatedly expressed scepticism about the pandemic.

Elon Musk claims to have taken four COVID-19 tests on the same day, two of which showed he was positive for the virus, and two that came back negative, as he stated "something extremely bogus is going on".

It is not the first time the outspoken billionaire has expressed scepticism about the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this year, he described lockdowns as "forcibly imprisoning people in their homes" and "fascist".

Mr Musk said he was tested with a rapid antigen test, which authorities have warned has a higher chance of delivering false negatives.

He tweeted: "Something extremely bogus is going on. Was tested for Covid four times today. Two tests came back negative, two came back positive. Same machine, same test, same nurse."

He is also awaiting the results from two PCR tests, although these will take 24 hours to be delivered.

I have been using the same term for these "tests" since the start. "Bogus".
