I don't think all Turks can recite like that. I've seen some Turks struggling with Arabic but I could be wrong. Turk Kizi can answer it better.

Maybe it's to do with his education.

Erdoğan graduated from Kasımpaşa Piyale primary school in 1965, and İmam Hatip school, a religious vocational high school, in 1973. One quarter of the curriculum of İmam Hatip schools involves study of the Qurʼān, the life of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, and the Arabic language.

One of the best recitations and Adhan I've heard was from a Turkish atheist :( and another Turkish man who claims to be a good man but not practicing anything.

They said they learnt it at school but because they were secular, they never prayed. They believed in praying in Turkish only and saw no need or reason why Salah or Adhan had to be in Arabic. Ironically, they don't even pray in Turkish.

Unfortunately, I know many turks like this in the London.

Harvard Law agrees with Turkey's decision on restoring the Hagia Sophia.

Quote:
1) Mehmed was entitled to convert the Hagia Sophia into a mosque;
2) Mehmed was entitled to endow the Hagia Sophia as a trust; and
3) President Ataturk was not entitled to alter that trust.

Thus, no matter their feelings on the politics and symbolism of this event, supporters of the rule of law should acknowledge that the court’s decision, though incomplete, was correct.
