KABUL, Afghanistan — Taliban has sold 130,000 tons of crude oil extracted from the Amu River in the past 10 days, according to state media operated by the group.

RTA, the Taliban-controlled national broadcaster, reported that the crude oil was sold for $71.6 million to a domestic trader for processing. The report also indicated that an additional 20,000 tons of crude oil are expected to be sold through a free bidding process.
