I did not say IK built hospital with ulterior motives. I said many people with ulterior motives also build hospitals.

I was reading this on BBC Urdu:

Why are overseas Pakistanis sending less money (FE) to their country now?

They are hoping that back home, situation will get worse and rupee value will further fall and they can send less amount to their country. Here in my country they call it "Aapdah mein ausar", "Opportunity during calamity"

Rupee is falling because less remittance from foreign soil. Foreign Exchange reserves are falling, correction is required for dollar to rupee conversion. Rupees further slides....

They don't know that when rupee falls, petroleum product prices go up, inflation increases and the receiver in their country will purchase less. Finally the relative suffers.

They are still sending the money just not using banks so the benefit doesn't transmit to the criminals in the government. They are using Hundi and Hawala systems. They also get a much better exchange rate on that than if they do through banks. So their families will be fine.

A lot of tactical blunders from Imran Khan.
Has led to his party facing major crackdown from the Army. This seems akin to the crackdowns carried out by Jamal Abdal Nasser in Egypt against the Ikhwan. And more recently by Sisi were the entire ikhwan was eliminated and outlawed.

It will be very difficult for him to make a political comeback from here.

Imran Khan's approach towards the military in a careless manner has not only eradicated the likelihood of his resurgence to power, but it may also significantly restrict his role as a politician in the foreseeable future.

That remains to be seen. If Allah has kept him alive thus far, it's inshaAllah for a reason.

There was no other approach towards the faasiq, rapist military than the one he took. People needed to know who has been ruling over them all these years covertly and who it was that is responsible for the mess the country is in.

I would have preferred if someone more connected with deen had taken this role, but it goes to show that Allah is not dependent on the religious ones to bring about changes in an Islamic society. Allah can choose the kuffar even for that if He Wills.

Khan did gain respect for Pakistan on the world stage. And was able to speak boldly against western imperialism.

Can’t see what he has actually accomplished domestically.

Did not even secure the release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui. Which he had promised.

His attempts to recreate a Military that is toothless. So the likes of Zardari and Shareef can loot, rape and plunder with impunity would hardly be an accomplishment . For his so-called anti-corruption drive.

When he first came on the political seen 25 years ago. claimed he would never make deals with the military in order to get elected. Then went on to do exactly that in order to get elected.

Claimed he would never allow crooked and corrupt career politicians Lotas in to his party in order to get elected. Then did exactly that.

Claimed he would improve the economy and make a world class health and welfare system. Failed to accomplish that.

Claimed he would develop a world class education system. And failed.

Claimed he would develop a world class sanitation and waste management system. And failed.

Claimed he would end corruption, but failed to end corruption even within the ranks of his own party.

Claimed he would never organise huge street protests if there was a threat to life and property .Because it leads to rioting, looting, the blocking of roads and innocents getting killed. Then did exactly that.

Claimed he was not afraid to die for his convictions. Then surrounds himself with human shields.

Claimed he was not afraid to languish in prison. He has done everything possible to stay out of prison. Whilst expecting his party workers to stay steadfast when they are imprisoned.

The most honourable thing to do if he wants to be a Nelson Mandela. Is to negotiate a deal for the release of thousands of party workers in exchange for his own imprisonment.

What’s more has severely weakened the military. That even the BJP supporters in India are praising and celebrating.

They say an intelligent enemy is of more benefit, then a foolish and well meaning friend.

Only result of sustained grass roots insurgency. Is the country becoming divided and ending up like Somalia or something. With the break up of the republic.

I don’t know what he will to Islamically. His party is full of secular liberals with a westernised mindset.

Why is that there is a corrupt ruler:

We are corrupt, instead of paying tax, fee, levy etc we pay so called "hafta" or below the table fee, to corrupt tax collectors.
We send Foreign exchange through hundi/hawala.
We expect that all money in Swiss bank deposited by the ruler must be returned and country shall be built by these funds. Impossible!!!! we must pay taxes.

The pious have excuse why should we pay taxes, commission, fee, levy etc. it goes to kitty of corrupt rulers.

If this is the case, let us stop with our family, we shall not worry beyond our family.

If there was no threat on borders, pak would have disunited by this time, like erstwhile Yugoslavia.

Everything you said is valid. Something that I had tried to tell the cult of Imran Khan supporters back in 2018. What Khan built his entire narrative was also true. Nawaz and Zardari were indeed corrupt and had robbed the country but for some reason he was totally blind to the real forces of evil in the country. Those who had the 99% share of the corruption while letting the politicians feed off of the 1% like their dogs. Khan couldn't take any step towards betterment or do any of the things he promised because they control everything. Either through blackmail or through bribery.

Now that he knows the reality behind the reality people are hoping he will find a way to curb their power and hence take all those steps that he deems are necessary for progress.

Although we all know the real problem will not be that easy to resolve. What the people are focused towards is trying to cure cancer by applying a bandage.

Bismillah.

Any reference for the fact Army generals steal 99%.

I highly doubt there are military generals with more wealth than Zardari and Sharif. I would be surprised if the famiies of Zia Ul Haq or Musharraf have anywhere near that kind of wealth as these politicians.

In anycase I dont think in a country like Pakistan democracy can end corruption. The nature of democracy in that country is a prime contributor to corruption.

A benevolent dictator with a strict Authoritarian rule would be the only way to end corruption.

In a parallel dimension on 10 April 2022:

Imran Khan gracefully acknowledges his constitutional removal through a Vote of No Confidence (VONC). He assumes the role of the Leader of the Opposition, unleashing his fiery spirit within the parliamentary halls. With utmost dedication, he actively engages in the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and other committees, ensuring robust scrutiny and accountability. Taking up his mandated responsibilities, he wholeheartedly contributes to the selection process of caretaker governments and diligently performs the tasks entrusted to him.

Furthermore, adhering to the democratic norms, elections proceed as scheduled in October 2023. Imran Khan's party triumphs with a significant majority, bestowing upon him the opportunity to reclaim the position of Prime Minister. With renewed vigor and a strengthened mandate, he assumes the helm of the nation once again, prepared to lead and govern with the people's aspirations at the forefront of his agenda.

In India democracy exists uninterrupted for 75 years.
What we have learnt is, in subcontinent , dedication, accountability, honesty etc is not enough to run a country.
Leader must be a seasoned politician, he must be very shrewd leader.
