Very important topic and questions about how some Celebrity Shaykhs and Dai's have turned Islam into a business and exploit it for their own gains.

Narrating a Hadith, Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Masood (Radhiyallahu anhu) said:

How will you be when you will be engulfed by such a Fitnah which will make the elderly ones senile and the younger ones grow old? People will take the Fitnah to be Sunnah. If anything from it (the Fitnah) is omitted, they will say that a Sunnah has been left out. The people asked: When will this be? Ibn Masood (Radhiyallahu anhu) said:

When your Ulama have departed; when your qaaris are in abundance; when your Fuqaha will be few; when your umaraa (government officials and the wealthy) will be numerous; when your trustworthy will be few; when the world is pursued with actions of the Aakhirah (with acts of ibaadat), and when Ilm (of the Deen) is acquired for purposes other than the Deen.

The sponsor has faith on a particular institution, that they shall spend the money the right way, and he is not demanding auditing of Accounts, there is no issue.

Barelvis have faith in their scholars, they trust them and sponsor them, similarly deobandis, salafees, jamaat e islami, etc.
They don't demand auditing of Accounts. If they don't have trust on their scholars/institutions, they get suspicious, then they stop sponsoring them.

If the management of any institution intents to cheat, there number of ways to do it, like receiving kick backs while placing order etc. Over charging in bills etc.

Everything works with trust.

What we are talking about is a particular fitnah that has emerged in Europe and North America. In the last 20 years.

We have another Scholar based in the Middle East who offers a private consultation to discuss any problems that you may have. He offers this service for $250 for a private 30 minute consultation.

We have other speakers who if they are invited to do a talk for the fundraising for the building and expansion of a new masjid. Demand 50 percent of the fee for whatever is raised for their attendance.

So put it in perspective for you a Scholar from abroad was invited at an Islamic
conference in Londons to deliver a talk. He demanded that he would only accept the invitation if he was booked in business class on a flight to the U.K.
That he was provided with a room at one of the most exclusive and expensive hotels in London the Dorchester. And that he wanted to be payed a fee of $10000.

Of-course I am sure you are familiar in the Indo-pak countries with maulanas which charge huge amounts for giving taweez, doing Daam, and making speeches at Khatams.

Astagfirullah!!!

The speakers are answerable to Allah, the institution inviting these speakers are also wrong. The locals who selected these management members are also at fault.
If it is the case, don't expand the masjid or construct a simplest possible masjid. If it is India, build a thatched roof hut and name it a masjid.

We are shocked...

We hear from people who visited maulana Arshad madani's residence. We have the pictures of mufti Saeed ahmed palanpuri RA and the maulana Qasim Nomani DB the vice chancellor of darul uloom deoband travelling by a cycle rickshaw in deoband city. Many renowned ulema sitting on Railway platform's dirty benches waiting for train.

Maulana Ibrahim Dewla DB when he left Nizamuddin, he carried just one small suitcase, he moved to a small room of madrasah in his home town and continued teaching hadith there.

We know many more such facts.

Part of one of the most important lessons in Islam.
"Actions are judged by intentions, so each man will have what he intended."

The explanation of this Hadith geos very deep!
