Salam

Many of you may or might not be aware that the famous site for books and lecture kalamullah.com is down

Does anyone know why it's down ? Rumour has it that it's to do with David Cameron new policy in tackling extremism and that resources are too freely available on the Internet

A brother from IA has managed to download majority of the books on to a google drive before the site went down. I have attached the link below if anyone is interested

That's terrible! I've used Kalamullah a number of times :( very sad news. Is it permanent or temporary, do you know?

Insha'Allah it is a losing battle for those who think they can control the flow of beneficial knowledge. May Allah Ta'aala guide them to the path of righteousness and may they become some of the best supporters and warriors of His deen. ameen.

I don't know looks like its host shut them down for good and their partner site 'hoorul ayn' also got shut down.

December 20 ( I believe the following post was taken from the kalamullah Facebook page - I don't have Facebook so can't verify )

JazakAllah khayran brother. I don't have FB either but you can still read the content. Yes, the appeal is on their FB and it seems a couple of people have replied though not sure if a solution has been found.

Its been down for many days now..checked it last week too.

Stupid Brits, in this day and age of the Internet, cloud storage, p2p and what not - how will they stop the flow of information?

Yet if this time they closed down because of DC's policies - then its a reality check for all of us running forums, sites, blogs etc
Seems like the kuffar will do anything and everything now to stop the spread of Islam.

It looks more of a disclaimer due to the nature of the some of the books available.

Haq is Haq, but they also want to protect themselves just in case some moron decides that the site is promoting violence etc.

Islamic book shops and even libraries with Zakir Naiks work also gets removed nowadays, in the name of terrorism, people do anything.

Fair enough but adding a simple 'necessarily' and removing 'any' to read:
