As-Salaam alaikum,
"THE RED SULPHUR" is a brief but remarkable work by Sheikh Abdullah bin Abi Bakr al-Aydarus. It is a short treatise on spiritual wayfaring. It offers clear guidance on spiritual stations of wayfarers and fruits accruing therefrom such as repentance, indigence, fear, hope, trust, renunciation etc

I recommend it for your perusal.
Many Regards.

On one of the pages is a bird with eyes. How can you reform someone while breaking the commands of Nabi Sallahu alayhi wa sallam.

What page is that....?

Regardless the author Shaykh Aydurus رحمة الله عليه wrote this over 6 centuries ago

If the the translators have drawn a bird with eyes as you claim..The original author is not responsible for that...!

This kind of thing matter very little to people... just brush under carpet. It don't help when so many ulema around world say its jaiz. Thats why Allah punish us much. We treat haraam and halaal lightly, so what can we expect? People who make light of kabeera and sagheera ghuna and make excuse get worst museebaat. But even with worst museebaat many still don't wake up and accept, so they suffer more and more. Allahu musta'an

Jazakallah.

Yes sins, and even worse, justifying many of those sins, are the main reasons why Allah has given our enemies power over us. So it's obvious why public sinners who are shameless and unrepentant over their sins, making them halaal in their minds, will never ever discuss this angle when discussing the turmoils of this Ummah. It's like expecting thieves and robbers to lament about the increasing crime rate in society.

I think Umar ibn Abdul Aziz said something like fear your sins more than your enemies. Though nowadays our main concern in discussions is the enemy. Sins, which are the real cause of our punishment, very rarely feature in our concerns and discussions, if they do at all.
