The Precious Messenger of Allah ﷺ

يا رب صل على النبي ………..خير الأنام وآله
O Rabb, send blessings upon the Prophet
The best of mankind and upon his Family

بجماله بجلاله ……….. بكماله بمقاله
In his beauty and his majesty
In his perfection and his speech

خير الأنام محمد ………. الفضل من أفضاله
Muhammad, the best of mankind
All bounty is from his bounties

قد قال ربى رحمة ……….. للخلق في إرساله
My Lord said: ‘Out of Mercy
Was he sent for the creation’

دار النعيم مقامه ………. والخلد في إقباله
The place of bliss is his abode
And the creation are all seeking him

فمتى اقبل تربة ………. كانت مقر نعاله
So when will I kiss the earth?
Which was the dwelling where his sandals stepped

ومتى أشاهد روضة ………. مملوءة بنواله
And when will I be able to witness the Rawdah?
Which is filled with his gifts

واشم من طيب الحبيب ………. أقيل تحت ظلاله
And smell the perfume of the Beloved
And rest under his shade?

ويدور كأس شرابه ……… من عذب ماء قلاله
The cup of his drink is being shared
From the sweet water of his pitcher

يا حبذا لو زارني ……… حتى بطيف خياله
How sweet! If only he was to visit me
Even if it is just a vision from his thoughts

الود منه لقد بدا ……… وكذاك من أشباله
Love has truly appeared from him
As it has from his children

و أحبه و أوده ……….. حقا لطيب خصاله
I love him and am devoted to him
Truly, for the purity of his characteristics

ما جاء مثل محمد ……… ما جاء مثل مثاله
The like of Muhammad has never been seen
Neither the like of his like has ever been

في الصخر اثر مشيه …….. ما غاص فوق رماله
On solid rock his feet left prints
Yet upon sand they did not sink

وأشار للبدر انقسم ………. فانشق مثل هلاله
He indicated to the moon to split
And so it split like two crescents

والجذع أنَّ تشوقا ……… لكلامه ومقاله
The tree trunk cried in yearning
For his words and speech

يحمى الكنانة سيدا ……… كالليث في أشباله
The Sayed protects the Land of Kinana—Egypt
Like a lion among its cubs

الله يحفظ زائرا ……… قد سار بين جباله
Allah protects a visitor
Who has begun to walk between his mountains

يمشى إليه مهرولا ……… ليفوز يوم نواله
He walks to him in haste
To be successful on the Day of his Giving

الله يحفظ قلبه ………. بالنور في أحواله
Allah protects his heart
With the light in all his states

ويظل في بركاته ……… ويزيد في أمواله
And he remains continuously in his blessings
And he increases him in wealth

ثم الصلاة مع السلام ………. على النبي وآله
May blessings along with peace
Be upon the Prophet and his Family

ما الجعفري بمدحه ………. يشدو بصدق مقاله
For al-Jafari does not with his praise
Claim to sing the reality of the Prophet’s state
