Iran was not going to commit suicide and naive to expect them to do so.
They got propaganda value out of their actions whilst exposing the Arab regimes.

Only question is if Trump will destroy Iran or support Israel in doing so.

In anycase in the very first meeting about Gaza genocide of regional nations a year or so ago. The Iranians proposed cutting off of all diplomatic and trade links to Israel, and an embargo.
The U.A.E. and Saudis rejected such a proposal.
That would have been the most easy way to end the genocide.
