Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz announced the donation of one billion dollars for the reconstruction of Gaza battered by a deadly Israeli offensive.
Qatar last week suggested the establishment of a fund for Gaza and donated 250 million dollars.
The war ended on Sunday with parallel unilateral ceasefire declarations by Israel and the Islamist Hamas movement which controls the impoversished coastal strip.
The reason a Gaza ceasefire appears imminent is because the Democrat Biden (who would have continued the genocide campaign in his 2nd term) is on his way out, and the incoming Republican Trump is asserting himself already and has chosen instead to bully Netanyahu into ceasefire

@SanaSaeed If Trump successfully brokers a ceasefire in Gaza, it shatters the (always wrong) narrative that Israel ‘controls’ the U.S. and instead makes it clear: this was all the United States.
The genocide in Gaza is Joe Biden’s genocide. This atrocity belongs to his administration.
Israel is a client state of the U.S. empire—reliant on American political, military, financial, and technological support. Without it, Israel would collapse.
Biden, Blinken, McGurk, and Sullivan wanted dead Palestinian children, and they got them. They sought the extermination of Palestinians, and they achieved it.
The U.S. is the architect of this genocide; Israel is the executioner

The Haaretz's newspaper's analyst Zvi Bar’el writes that:
The Israeli government's decision to pursue a two-stage deal for the release of hostages, rather than agreeing to a single comprehensive agreement, raises significant concerns about its intentions and the risks involved. By opting for a phased approach, the government has prolonged negotiations, during which hostages remain in captivity and soldiers are exposed to danger in the field, waiting for orders to withdraw. This strategy not only delays the rescue process but also increases the likelihood of harm to both hostages and military personnel.
This decision suggests that the Israeli government may not be fully committed to implementing the second stage of the deal. As a result, the initial stage must be treated as if it is the only opportunity to secure the release of hostages. Furthermore, it appears that the government’s broader ambitions, including establishing a lasting presence in Gaza and advancing settlement plans, have not been abandoned but merely postponed.
There is a genuine concern that once the first phase concludes with the release of 33 hostages, the Israeli government might resume its military operations in Gaza. In doing so, the lives of the remaining hostages could become collateral damage, overshadowed by the government’s larger strategic objectives. This scenario underscores the need for vigilance and preparation for a reality where the war in Gaza resumes with devastating consequences.
The muted response from the public suggests an acceptance of these policies, but it also risks a future reckoning with the profound human and strategic costs of these decisions.
The Palestinians are the heroes of our age. Their steadfastness and suffering in the face of satanic evil (Israel and its supporters) has been the most humbling thing any of us have ever witnessed.
Their refusal to surrender, to leave their land, to stop speaking the truth, and their unwavering dedication to their Lord puts us all to shame.
The Palestinians have passed their test and I feel sure they have secured their place in the Akhira.
It is us who have failed the test. Those of us who failed to prevent this genocide. We are the ones who should be worried about our Akhira
The monster is already trying to sabotage the deal.
Netanyahu throws wrench into ceasefire deal claims without proof Hamas is backtracking
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused Hamas without proof of reneging on key details of the ceasefire agreement, claiming the group is hindering its approval by the Israeli government.
In a statement, Netanyahu alleged that Hamas was attempting to "extort last minute concessions" by backtracking on parts of the deal. However, there is no evidence to support Netanyahu's claims, especially given his history of derailing ceasefire agreements in the past.
Despite Israel's accusations, Hamas has reiterated its commitment to the ceasefire deal announced by the mediators yesterday, urging Israel to uphold its part of the agreement.
Israel's refusal to convene the cabinet to ratify the deal Hamas has accepted leaves the Palestinian people to bear the consequences. On Thursday alone Israel has killed at least 50 Palestinians
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
