Salaam

How many will be taking the covid vaccine, outright refusing it, or will wait a while before deciding?

Post your reasons as well.

As far as I am aware, the oxford covid vaccine is a live vaccine. For me and my family this is a problem because my son (due to his illness) is not allowed to take a live vaccine or be near people who have taken a live vaccine.

Another issue for my son, currently there is a vaccine that is being tested for his illness. The Oxford covid vaccine and the aforementioned vaccine both share the same viral vector. This could mean that the vaccine for my son's illness may become ineffective if he takes the oxford covid vaccine.

However, there are other covid vaccines that do not pose the above problems. Even then I would prefer to avoid them because the long term effects are unknown.

So for now I will not be taking the vaccine, but maybe in the future I might change my mind depending on further information and data.

I think it goes without saying that most of the well-read folks are skeptical about any and all vaccines. The real question is, what if it's forced upon us? What are we supposed to do then? Like for instance, vaccination being required for travel? Even for Umrah and Hajj? Then what?

Maybe. I've already had covid so not in a rush to get a vaccine as i heard likelyhood of catching it twice is low. Also if most people get it then im safe anyway.

But i want to know what is the harm in getting it for those who decide to take it. Also as earlier post eluded too, you may not get a choice. Won't be surprised if you need it in order to travel, work, study, enter restaurants or public spaces...

Also out of curiosity what is main reason anti vaxxers don't want the injection. Is it harmful or will it giv govt too much info about us? I'm neither for or against but not sure what the prob is with it.

Salaam.

I think the main reason is because there has been no long term testing of the vaccine which would expose any long term adverse side effects. But I'm sure even after long term testing other excuses will arise.

Personally, I'm not an anti vaxer.

I've never had the flu jab and don't see why I would need this jab considering it affects less than those who get the flu!

I get the flu, I'm not immune.

Important question for you and others:

1: After taking this vaccine, will you become immune?

2: After taking this vaccine, can you still spread the virus?

3: After taking the vaccine, how long will you be immune?

4: After taking the vaccine, will you still have to quarantine if some else in the household tests positive?

5: After taking the vaccine, can you still get the virus?

6: After taking the vaccine, will there be side effects?

1: Not really. You will feel less of the symptoms.

2: YES.

3: This is unknown, likelihood of this is very little time. Boosters will continue to be given.

4: YES, see answer 2

5: YES

6: The makers can't be certain

Will I still take the vaccine?

I don't see the point of being a guinea pig.

If and when the answers above change to something more positive, more definitive, then maybe I'll reconsider. Until then, it's all unknown.

I believe this post requires an update!

Answers:
1: No. You will suffer from other side effects, many deadly.

2: YES but not Covid, instead the spread will be of that which your new immune system has created, aka New Variants.

3: This will be the start of a decline of natural immunity if you were given the real shot.

4: NHS workers told they will not get paid fully if they wish to self isolate as of today if they have tested positive. NHS staff will be forced to work in order to get full pay. Such is the danger of the virus.

5: See answer 2

6: YES. If I were to post the text of the side effects from just Pfizer, I would probably crash the page. You can read just those 9 pages here.
