Alhumdulillah, Masjids have reopened!

Be sure to check with your Masjid and its rules and regulations.

On top of that, find out how Jummah will be prayed.

I've had to go online and book a slot for Jummah Salah.

I was then sent a confirmation email and a ticket to pray :(

So please do check with your local mosques on what the procedure is.

It feels so weird doing that

Be sure to take a consent form in case your mosque requires it before entry.

Quote:

Date: - _____ -
Salah: - ____
House No - ________
Post code: -_______________

Name : - __________________________________ Phone: - _________________

I confirm that I am in good health to attend the mosque. I also consent to the mosque retaining my details for as long as necessary to facilitate NHS Test, Track and Trace, should the need arise.

I won't be using that app as long as my Masjid continues with their current setup.

The track and trace app is a shambles anyway!

It is the first time I'm seeing an option for a second Jummah, let alone a third. Most Masjids have two Eid Salah times and we only have one time under normal circumstances.

This is a whole new era!

This will be the first Jummah Salah for many many people since the end of March.

I think an effort on a one way pathway system to manage flow and a quick temperature check would be better than having a ticket booking system which will cause crowding, queuing and maybe arguments for those who turn up without it. Once full, the rest can easily wait for the 2nd prayer. If the online booking system is optional then it's fine, no harm. But to make it mandatory will be very problematic. I hope everything goes smoothly for everyone and the volunteers/committee don't panic.

Muslims kept the Mosques open with Adhan and Jamaat during restrictions with key workers.

Then Mosques opened back up for public the minute Government allowed with all the protocols and safety etc, while Churches etc are struggling today on Sunday

Germans rented Ikea and prayed Eid in huge car parks.

Alhumdolillah, I am very pleased with the way Muslims have responded.

P.S: In fact, let me drive around to a Church to see what they are doing, will write later...

I'm not worried about the app. The app seems like a sensible approach. I'm worried about the track and trace aspect of it.

Track and trace WILL be abused by the government, corporations, security agents, foreign agents, hackers etc.

There was NO need to have track and trace integrated into the masjid app. I'm willing to bet the government has a hand in this masjid app.

Check your phone settings. Track and trace capability has already been automatically downloaded to your phone. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years from now we find out that it was already activated without us knowing it.

Image is a screenshot from my phone where the software for track and trace had automatically been downloaded without my permission.

You use Google, you have no choice. Although I haven't seen the above, I know it's there.

Apple have the same, they know where you are even if you have Find my iPhone disabled. In fact, iPhone users have the annoying GPS icon appearing every few minutes just because the clock wants to synchronise to your location for the most accurate time (Facepalm)

Weather, bus stops, banking, camera etc all know where you are at any given time!

I get sent emails every month from Google to show me where I've been (I did opt out, but then when there are updates to T's and C's, we agree and don't read through it again and don't opt out again)

Eventually, we accept their ways or go back to classic Nokia phones!

Mosque:

  1. A separate tent setup in the parking lot to take temperature, hand sanitisers and masks provided.
  2. One way system setup for people to enter the Mosque, pray and leave
  3. Brand new Toilet facilities (they were upgrading the Toilet any ways)
  4. Plastic covers over Carpet which will be disposed as and when needed.
  5. Multiple Jumuahs setup, no registration but Security will allow a certain number and then stop others for next Jumuah.

Church:

I looked at 3 Churches (on Sunday) and no Services, usually there is a Service and plenty of people

Gurdawara:

Limited Service with a few guests when usually on Sunday they have Langar and other services and overflowing with people.
