My first face palm (not including the one to Maulana Yasin)

I never said that Muslim's are not guilty of attacks.

The Prophet (saw) indicated that we will follow the kuffar into a lizard hole and so on.

How the United States Created Al-Qaeda In 1979 while speaking to the radical Islamist Mujahideen group in Pakistan, President Carter’s National Security Advisor told the group that “Your cause is right, and God is on your side.”

The attacks perpetrated by Al-Qaeda on September 11, 2001 shook our national consciousness to its core and forever altered the course of our politics.

Zbigniew Brzezinski is a man with a legacy as complex as his name is difficult to pronounce. The tenth National Security Advisor to the President of the United States, Brzezinski was born in Poland in 1928 and is still active in politics, teaching and appearing for expert analysis on several news programs. His surname also might sound familiar to many, as his daughter Mika Brzezinski co-hosts the news program Morning Joe on MSNBC.

Under Brzezinski’s four-year tenure in the Carter administration, the geopolitical tectonic plates of the world shifted dramatically as the U.S. normalized relations with the People’s Republic of China, hosted the Camp David Accords, and lost the support of Iran when its regime was overthrown. Amidst his long resume of impressive feats, one of Brzezinski’s lesser known and most ill-advised foreign policy forays turned out to be funding the rebel Mujahideen group in hopes they would drag the Soviet Union into a long, costly quagmire in the Middle East.

With the blessing of President Carter, Brzezinski flew to Pakistan in 1979 prior to the Soviet invasion and began to coordinate a joint response with the intent to “make the Soviets bleed for as much and as long as is possible.” In addition to arranging coordination between the CIA, ISI (Pakistani secret service), MI6, Saudi Arabia, and other parties that was subsequently used to funnel roughly three-billion U.S. dollars to the Mujahideen, Brzezinski gave a brief speech to the group while on his visit, telling them “Your cause is right, and God is on your side. Your fight will prevail” and as he pointed to Afghanistan, “That land over there is yours. You’ll go back to it one day.”

For Brzezinski, it’s clear that making the Soviets bleed was personal. He once bragged that he was “the first Pole in 300 years in a position to really stick it to the Russians.” Although he ultimately may have achieved his goal of baiting the Soviet Union into a drawn out conflict with the Mujahideen, in his short-sighted quest for vengeance Brzezinski also stoked the fire of Islamic fanaticism that would grow out of control in subsequent decades. The Mujahideen, whose name roughly translates to “one engaged in Jihad”, went on to evolve into al-Qaeda, the group infamous for perpetrating the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon which killed 2,996 people and injured over 6,000.

While the armed extremists were obviously no longer receiving any U.S. funding by the time they had become al-Qaeda, the question of whether Osama bin Laden (who fought against the Soviets in the ’80s) would have been able to orchestrate the attacks without our previous support still lingers. Considering that numerous popular conspiracy theories center around the idea that the 9/11 attacks were actually a false-flag operation staged by the U.S. government, there’s a certain degree of irony inherent in the fact that U.S. officials may actually be culpable for the losses of American lives — only in a more indirect way.

Given the CIA’s role in funding, arming, and training the Mujahideen, it’s also worth noting that the intelligence establishment tasked with maintaining national security, which was massively expanded following 9/11, also played a pivotal role in creating the precipitating circumstances for the worst attack on U.S. soil since Pearl Harbor. In the end it turns out that our scariest boogeyman is actually Frankenstein — the monster we created ourselves.

In cases like this, does he really need to provide proof? It's not some legal proceeding that has been undertaken. He's not intending to create a lawsuit out of this or even accusing the said party in court, so why does he or anyone else in such a situation need to prove anything. He's just speculating based on his experiences and probably observations. Why can't we take it as just that? Why are we chasing proofs here?

You asked something which pretty much equates to "can the Muslims commit no wrong? Why does it always have to be some third party that is blamed for some heinous act? Why can't we accept that it was the Muslims?" I counter that with "why do we always have to believe that the non-Muslims can do no wrong? why must there always be irrefutable proof against them before we can even SPECULATE about their wrong doings?"

So Osama Bin Ladin was never real? I'm sure the CIA has blamed Al-Qaeda and the Taliban for many attacks in Afghanistan that they committed themselves. However, to pretend that we do not have problems with misguided jihadi groups is pretty silly.

Also, bro, what is this thread going to accomplish? I'm sure if Al-Qaeda wasn't run by Muslims (I'm not going to call them kuffar), the major news agencies/governments around the world would have beaten us in exposing them.

Many Countries Sponsor Terror … But America Is the Worst

The director of the National Security Agency under Ronald Reagan – Lt. General William Odom said:

By any measure the US has long used terrorism. In ‘78-79 the Senate was trying to pass a law against international terrorism – in every version they produced, the lawyers said the US would be in violation.

The Washington Post reported in 2010:

The United States has long been an exporter of terrorism, according to a secret CIA analysis released Wednesday by the Web site WikiLeaks.

The head and special agent in charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles office said that most terror attacks are committed by our CIA and FBI.

Wikipedia notes:

Chomsky and Herman observed that terror was concentrated in the U.S. sphere of influence in the Third World, and documented terror carried out by U.S. client states in Latin America. They observed that of ten Latin American countries that had death squads, all were U.S. client states.

***

They concluded that the global rise in state terror was a result of U.S. foreign policy.

***

In 1991, a book edited by Alexander L. George [the Graham H. Stuart Professor of Political Science Emeritus at Stanford University] also argued that other Western powers sponsored terror in Third World countries. It concluded that the U.S. and its allies were the main supporters of terrorism throughout the world.

Department of Justice lawyer John Yoo suggested in 2005 that the US should go on the offensive against al-Qaeda, having “our intelligence agencies create a false terrorist organization. It could have its own websites, recruitment centers, training camps, and fundraising operations. It could launch fake terrorist operations and claim credit for real terrorist strikes, helping to sow confusion within al-Qaeda’s ranks, causing operatives to doubt others’ identities and to question the validity of communications.”

As Chris Floyd and many others have noted, this plan has gone live.

United Press International reported in June 2005:

U.S. intelligence officers are reporting that some of the insurgents in Iraq are using recent-model Beretta 92 pistols, but the pistols seem to have had their serial numbers erased. The numbers do not appear to have been physically removed; the pistols seem to have come off a production line without any serial numbers. Analysts suggest the lack of serial numbers indicates that the weapons were intended for intelligence operations or terrorist cells with substantial government backing. Analysts speculate that these guns are probably from either Mossad or the CIA. Analysts speculate that agent provocateurs may be using the untraceable weapons even as U.S. authorities use insurgent attacks against civilians as evidence of the illegitimacy of the resistance.

There is substantial additional evidence of hanky panky in Iraq.

By any measure, the U.S. is the largest sponsor of terror.

OK i am going to speculate that free masons are behind the Majlis, to cause extremism among Deobandi s. I don't need any proof whatsoever. I am going to speculate that free masons are behind the recent blasphemy case in Pakistan. Why blame the Muslims for accusing the women of blasphemy? I mean anything to caue riots right? I blame the free masons for shooting Malala ( is that her name) to give Muslims a bad name, because I sopeculate that's what happened. The free masons have made Mufti Taqi Uthmami allow digital photos so we can all take photos. The free masons caused the strife between hanbalis and asharis centuries ago. Why? Because I feel like saying so. Muadh khan is an agent of the free mason sent here to argue on this forum. Why not, have u met him? In fact why dont l say The free masons were behind some of the disputes of the Sahaba, may Allah be pleased with them all?

Why go thought the trouble of all the fatwas and discussions when the Ulama could solve the tabligh problem by just coming out and saying the free masons are behind this. Has anyone explained to Ml Saad that he has been manipulated by the free masons? Or are you all accusing him of being in bed with them?!

Robin Cook Friday July 8, 2005 The Guardian

Al-Qaida, literally "the database", was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians.

Quote:
Former British Foreign Secretary, Robin Cook, told the House of Commons that Al Qaeda was unquestionably a product of Western intelligence agencies. Mr. Cook explained that Al Qaeda, which literally means an abbreviation of “the database” in Arabic, was originally the computer database of the thousands of Islamist extremists, who were trained by the CIA and funded by the Saudis, in order to defeat the Russians in Afghanistan.

America’s relationship with Al Qaeda has always been a love-hate affair. Depending on whether a particular Al Qaeda terrorist group in a given region furthers American interests or not, the U.S. State Department either funds or aggressively targets that terrorist group. Even as American foreign policy makers claim to oppose Muslim extremism, they knowingly foment it as a weapon of foreign policy.

I don't want to get into sucked into a circular debate.

Him saying it in the House of Commons and him writing it in a letter in Guardian is not the same thing. You are claiming it to be former.

What he wrote is clearly written in the Gaurdian and that's what I posted :)

The linked article are the ones who said he said it in the house of commons, not me and it is in quotes too.

Also, whatever is said in the house of commons is not common knowledge, so maybe he did say there or maye he didn't - We may never know.

The fact still remains that these were his words and he died a week later.
