Assalamualaikum,  does anybody have noise cancelling headphones or earphones made by Bose company? I'm thinking of investing in some if I know they are able to do what they say they can.

Basically if I wear them at the gym will they be able to block out all the music?

Please always post in the correct section. Categories are there for a reason and posting too many times in the wrong section increases our work to move it to the correct section. Doing this often could enable temporary restrictions on starting new topics.

A friend of mine is a gadget freak and buys everything he can.

He uses the Bose DC....(will update with correct model later inshaAllah) and says it does exactly what it says and loves it.

They are called the Bose QC20

Would I buy them? Not for that price of a couple of Hundred pounds, No Thanks!

Are they worth it? If its gonna remove the sound of Music from your surroundings and you are investing for your Deen, then maybe you could, alternatively, don't go to such places :)

They require a 2 hour charge, but will last for weeks and weeks.

I've just tried them, and they do sound good and reduce the background noise, but then again, so do the standard HTC headphones that came with the handset. The results are good but only with full volume and not necessarily for listening to Quran etc. The difference can really be heard where the sound would have a lot of bass in it, so for watching Islamic movies with good sound effects and no music, it might be okay. Otherwise any standard quality earphone with full volume and lots of bass will produce the same effect.

Since I tested it on an HTC M8, I wouldn't be able to give accurate results because the handset it self comes with a ton of sound features.
