If one chooses to walk their separate ways because they don't get along then are they still sinful? I've heard one can become kafir if 2 Muslims brothers who have fallen out don't reconsile their differences in 3 days.
The above was explained By Arif Billah Hazrat Maulana Hakeem Muhammed Akhtar sahab رحمة الله عليه and he quoted a Summary from either Imam Qurtubi رحمة الله عليه or Imam Ghazzazi رحمة الله عليه (iam not sure) and confirmed with Hazrat Mufti Rasheed Ahmed ludhianvi رحمة الله عليه and some other Ulema as well.. that the exception to the above is a person ( be him a Muslim) who is harmful and known to harm..such that avoiding contact / not speaking with him would be a resort to safety..
