Assalamu Alaykum,

Please follow these guidelines in order to maximise benefit of the much needed Fiqh support on the forum. Our current rules still apply in full where Fiqh related questions cannot be asked for public answering and discussions. This category is added with the Mashwarah of other scholars where it was deemed necessary to limit activity to its purpose alone.

The Question:
- must not be such that it requires a direct answer such as Talaaq issue related to a single person.
- must not be specific to a circumstance which will require analysing
- must be searched online first. This support is only if you've already done your part. Please provide information that you have found yourself too.

The following rules will apply to this section.

1. Only registered members can post a question. If you need to ask a question then please register. Posts by guests in other sections will not be moved here.

2. All questions and answers will by default be pending until authorised by one of the forum authorisers (not yet implemented)

3. Answers can only be works of qualified scholars available online or must be sourced clearly such as publications.

4. Members cannot answer directly even if you are a qualified scholar (please see next rule)

5. If you are a qualified scholar, the answer would have to be published on your own site/blog and then you can post the answer with your name on the forum linking back to the original answer

6. Members can post any answer available from scholars of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah

7. Answers from scholars of questionable/mislead sects can be posted if it's attested by a reliable scholar if the answer is beneficial

8. A simple link to an answer will be insufficient and will not be approved unless it is first quoted in the post.

9. Once a question is deemed answered the thread will be locked. Repeated questions will be deleted and a PM will be sent to the questioner to inform them.

10. Members can reply for clarification of the question.

Please do not:
- discuss answers
- question the answers
- dislike or disagree answers
- raise a thread about the answers
- post multiple questions as a single thread. Each question should be a new thread

These rules may be updated

The Q&A section of the site is discontinued due to the unavailability of the scholars. It's been like this for a few months now. Hence the forum Q&A support is added so members can help locate answers or even submit the questions to a scholar they know personally.

Jazakallah khair. Finally an opportunity to get an accurate answer according to Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jamaah scholars, instead of half-baked copy pasted answers from self-appointed muftis. :p

I would like to make a small suggestion, for this part of the forum the members who have managed to gather evidence on a number of 'masail' might want to put all those evidences in a Sticky thread , this will help limit pointless questions that can be simply answered by reading the sticky ( lets hope members do read it first). Also it'll help create more awareness for the evidences these members have gathered, as right now they are tucked away out of site.

Secondly Maulana Yasin you might want to mention which sites you'll accept and which sites you clearly won't accept, a bit more clarity on this aspect might be helpful, I'm not sure of your stance but some other sites/forums do not accept Sheikh Munjjaids Q & A site at all, in fact if someone tried to post a link to one of the fatwas on it they wouldn't be able to at all.

Just some random thoughts of mine

I think this will be very difficult to uphold. There are tons of sites replicating each other, but yes a simple guide would be ok like the ones within islamqa.org

With reference to islamqa.com and Shaykh Munaajid, I think that it is an excellent site for reference. I and many other members have used this site for many references. I personally think it is a fine example for using as comparisons too. Also Shaykh Munaajid does give the verdict of all the schools sometimes as well as the verdict of the contemporary scholars.

Another problem is that the method of Shaykh Munaajids approach is FAR FAR better than many of our own Ulama. There are many examples of this (no example needs to be given).

Many people would read an answer from a Deobandi Scholar and "laugh" whereas the answer from other ulama will be filled with praise. tricky situation.

Khair, the point is I don't think Islamqa should be banned from MS as a whole, maybe just from the Q&A section.

WasSalaam.

Shaykh Salih Al-Munaajid and islam-qa have both been banned in Saudi Arabia for a number of years from giving Fatwaas, just for information for anyone reading.

This basically covers the fact that if any reliable scholar of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa'ah has deemed the answer to be correct then it's okay to post. We don't promote the beliefs or Aqaaid but in this section alone the purpose is the "ruling/answer" so if it's correct then it's correct. InshaAllah this should be rare due to the amount of resources available from the list of islamqa.org and our very well clued up members.

If the need arises that anyone is posting any answer without taking care of this then we can make the guidelines and rules a little more strict. For now inshaAllah this should be sufficient.

Agree, but in my opinion, the reason given is valid if true.

The Saudi regime or whoever banned them, have done so, so that there is no conflict in the country. They want to have only one opinion on any matter.
