The Fatwa quoted below was deliberated amongst the Scholars at Department of Darul-Iftaa (Wifaqul Ulama) and the conclusion reached after discussion was as follows:
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
هو الموفق
حامدا ومصليا ومسلما
الجواب ومنه الصواب
It will be permissible to work as a Security Guard as long as one is not directly involved in sin and transgression and the majority of the employer’s income is from Halal sources.
