Following different Ramadan timetables

Asalamualaikum.

Ramadan Mubarak to everyone. May Allah forgive us all in this blessed month.


Are we allowed to follow different Hanafi Ramadan timetables if it suits on one day and then follow another when it doesn’t?

If we do this does it nullify our fast and Fajar salah?

I think he means the 18 degree time table and the other timetable.

Like many masjids where I perform salah have different iftaar/sehri times, and they all follow the Hanafi fiqh.

As for a direct answer to your question, I am not qualified to answer it. However it is not permitted to choose between two different opinions as and when it suits you. You must stick to the same ruling/timetable throughout the month.

Majority of us here follow the 18° Rule like the rest of the world. See relevant threads.

(the 18° Rule at this time of the year means that suhoor will be around the 1am region, anything later than that then they are following something else)

Makkah timings are based on praytimes.org/wiki/Calculation_Methods as indicated in the links already provided.

Makkah does not have the same nautical twilight issues as we do here in the UK and in other parts of the world, hence their calculations and timings are still accurate www.ummulqura.org.sa/

Makkah use the 19 Degree rule which does not make much of a difference in comparison to 18 degrees.

I would suggest a little study into this topic with the links provided to get a better understanding and feel this thread should now be locked.
